I bought this pick up to replace the single p90 (neck) on a new Grote Jazz Electric. Old pick up worked OK but very poor tone definition. This pick up has better tone quality on the bright strings. Still a little muddy on the low E end. Growls on mid to high gain. BUT, I am not unhappy with it and plan to keep it. I would give it 4-5 stars but for the shameless advertisement on the front of the cover and some of the tone issues. For less than $20.00 USD, it is a great buy for a budget price guitar. I could see myself buying it again for the right guitar. Again, I am not unhappy here.

I ordered a Grote 335 guitar and the pickups sounded very low, so I ordered these. These are both bell like and growly when needed. Really appreciate my first set of P90's. These are very versatile and have played metal through blues really nicely on them.

You should really expect to get what you pay for with a pick up at this price.I didn't.Instead I got a great pick up that brought a piece of crap Firefly FFJR to life.I was really hesitant to order anything with a ceramic magnet. Had in and out of my cart several times.Glad I finally bit the bullet and ordered.It sounds great clean and fantastic dirty.Apparently when I placed my order I wasn't paying attention and ordered a neck pick up instead of a bridge. It lined up fine and went in easy.

Like: Close in tone and punch to a real P90 and affordable enough for budget builds and upgrades. Dislike: Logo printed on cover, dead giveaway that its a copy
