This product is not made for a futon and has already ripped open. It is nice and fluffy but you can feel the metal of the futon. Also while we were placing the mattress on the futon we pulled/picked up the middle of the mattress and it ripped open. We now are picking up the stuffing from the floor.

This is not a true futon mattress. It is not firm, you feel the bars on the mattress when you sit, it doesn't stand up when the futon is in sofa position, it is too squishy.I just purchased and now I have to return this piece of crap. There was no directions in the box on what makes it firm or expandsBuyer beware. You will deeply regret this purchase

They show it ina chair but you need to put this on a mat as extra cushioning this is not a mattress for a futon frame by itself. If I could give it less than 1 star I would
