Needed a portable option for a remote interview. Sound quality is phenomenal and the clarity is amazing for voice tracking video or on air ad reads. Once you download the app, you record the wav file through the app and it is easy peasy to move between platforms.

The mic seems to work fine, but the app cannot record with IOS 16, which currently has been the current version of the OS. Given so much of the advertised functionality of the mic is tied to the app, you really don’t get the most of what they’re selling.Edit: they’ve fixed the iOS compatibility, but the app is still hot garbage. Settings change themselves at random and the Bluetooth turns itself off and on in the middle of calls. It all adds up to being completely unusable.

This Mackie OnyxGO, Wireless Clip-on Mic with Companion App is a disappointment which should have undergone further QA testing. It just doesn't work like a released product should, it works like a Beta or Alpha test version of a product. What makes it disappointing is that underneath all the issues there's the bones of a legitimate useful product, but it's hidden underneath layers and layers of issues and poor implementation.First of all, the user guide...absolute trash, not even worth looking at because it's useless. Second of all, the this product requires an app to use it, that is another massive middle finger to the end user. It is another artificial limitation that limits the usefulness of the product. Not to mention the app is filled with a plethora of issues as well and is slower than molasses on my Z Fold 3.Mic quality should be one of the main areas that I would've hoped they would've allocated enough resources to ensure that it was exceptional quality. Unfortunately, that is not the case. The mic is barely better than a built in mic, and that is with the benefit of the doubt.Overall, this is rubbish. Weighed down by poor design choices and subpar quality components, this is an unfortunate product that was released before some sort of QA testing could have been done to cut the fat and save this product from itself. I hope if they ever release a version 2 that they fundamentally rethink how to design this product from the ground up. Scrap all the nonsense and start over. 1.5/5 stars.

This is a really nice wireless clip on mic! First off, it's important to note that the receiver is your mobile device (tablet or smartphone). It has to work with the app from either the Android or iOS app stores. The device itself does feel very well made and is quite small and light - making it easy to wear for an extended period of time with no discomfort. The audio quality is very nice and works very well on my Android devices. The app is well designed and there are a lot of cool features built in. I've used this for voice overs for my videos and also recorded phone calls and it works very well for that. When clipped on, I had no fear of it falling off. All things considered, I really like this little device and it works extremely well and won't break the bank!

Hello. This is my second OnyGO mic. for my Android phone. It would not auto-record on a phone call or could not get it to work, so the tech said it was defeated. So I had to send it back. I order this one from Amazon, and guess what?? This one didn't work as well.After spending hours on the phone with the tech. He had to email the developer to see what was going on. Three days later, the developer said " We confirmed that this exact issue was still happening back at the beginning of this month. They have been very slow and difficult to work with, so a lot of issues we have filed have NOT been fixed." Didn't say when or if they would fix it.Now I Paired this to my wife's iPhone and it works just fine.So, if anybody is going to buy this, I would not buy it for an Android.
