This Made In decanter is gorgeous to behold, whether empty or filled with wine. It looks great on the table, has a classic-shape bowl to aerate wine, lifts easily, and pours beautifully. It truly elevates the experience of drinking wine.I'm delighted to have this, and am looking forward to using it for special dinners at home and when hosting guests!

This is nice, compact, wine decanter. Just don't believe what you read on the page describing it. Regardless of the text, and two images, ascribing its origin in Slovakia, it is produced in Italy. Bot countries are known for their fine work, producing crystal drinkware. I'm just not sure why they felt a need to highlight an incorrect description.It is easy to handle, and if you're patient enough, you will be well rewarded by decanting your wine, early enough for the decanter to help with the wine's aromas and taste.

We were super excited to receive this as I’ve heard great things about the brand and haven’t had the chance to try yet. So glad we did! It’s lightweight yet still feels like great quality and has just the right amount of heft to where I’m not questioning the quality at all. Does a great job and looks great while doing it! I had high expectations due to all the good things I’ve heard and this actually exceeded them. I’m pretty sure I know of this brand because it pops up a lot in nontoxic/safe cookware recommendations so I’m more comfortable using this than some other brands. I believe everything they make is crafted to European standards, which are much more strict than US standards. The box it ships in is branded so you may want to time the delivery to where you’re home but it’s very well protected in the box! Overall a great product I’d highly recommend! The price is a bit steep but in this case you definitely get what you pay for and it feels like it’ll hold up very well!

The deeper I get into wine appreciation, the more I realized I needed a decanter. It is a critical step in enjoying wine that I have been missing out on, as it allows the wine to "breathe" and reduces the amount of sediment that makes it into the glass. This decanter is absolutely gorgeous. It is beautiful just sitting out in my china cabinet, and is designed for functionality. It's lightweight glass, which surprised me - it doesn't feel heavy at all, though it looks substantial. The design is classic and elegant. I'm always nervous about having glass shipped, but this decanter was cleverly protected to arrive intact. It's smaller than I envisioned, but does indeed hold a whole bottle of wine. It is marked "Made In" on the bottom, so it won't be mistaken for a generic glass piece. I love that it is dishwasher safe, but I'll probably hand-wash it anyway, as I hand wash all of my wine glasses. Cannot wait to have friends over and pour from this beautiful, elegant decanter.

I have a couple of other wine decanters - one that looks like an oversized laboratory beaker (that's what the scientist wife tells me). They're the very wide based type. I wanted to try this type with a narrow and more circular base. I can definitely tell that this is a high quality but lightweight glass. It's certainly more stylish. It has a solid weight for its size with a decently low center of gravity. But it is also smaller with a lot less surface area to breath out the wine. Either it'll take longer or the wine has to be the type that requires less aeration.I also have to give kudos to the smart and protective packaging - good use of cardboard and air gapping. The less foam and plastic bubble wrap the better.

We drink a LOT of wine in our house; nearly a bottle is consumed every day at dinner. I decided to try a decanter, especially since some of our wines are getting older and could use some aeration.I was very pleased at the way it came packaged; very well done, and giftable. The decanter is on the smaller side, so it doesn't take up a big space on the dining room table. Love that! It easily held a bottle of wine; most importantly, I was easily able to pour the little that was left back into the bottle it came from (yes, there is wine leftover sometimes! HA!), and the decanter was easy to clean. I was hesitant to put it into the dishwasher, but they said it was dishwasher safe, so I went for it. It came out sparkling!We did a before and after taste of a wine that had been in the wine captain for at least 7 years; the aeration really developed the taste! I think we'll be using this decanter far more often than I would have imagined.The shape is classical, and it's very easy to handle. The wider base almost guarantees that there will never be a spill.Highly recommended!
