I wanted this to work but unfortunately it kept skipping. I tried to test directly on my visible home 2x2 and 4x4 frames and it failed miserably. My countersink wood drill bit fared much better. This means I have to make more openings in my drywall than I wanted to, but it is what it is. It may work with less dense wood, but I am going to return mine.

Bought this to bore holes in sole plates in the wall for ethernet in my house. This doesn't work in traditional drill chucks as best as I hoped. I barely got it through 4 inches of old growth pine. Although I got the job done, It skipped like mad, raising the issue it might get stuck in the wall forever.

Used as needed to fit some extra lights and have a older house. That's means beams and drywall is lower so no empty space.Uses this to get and angle to drill through the beam. Has some bend. But personally would want more of a bend

I wish I filmed this, but I was in my attic and was hard enough to get into the spot and very dark. but once I was setup and got the right spot I was able to drill the hole in just a few minutes. I am only a DYI'er and have only drilled a few holes in my own house but this new bit was by far the best and easiest. I just had to drill the hole, back it out once or twice and then I was through. really simple.

I used this bit to drill six 1" holes through a 30" diameter Red Oak tree to cable it off as a result of storm damage. I was skeptical at first seeing the bit when it arrived. I thought for sure it would twist off half way through the tree. But after using it, and taking my time with each hole being sure to clean out the shavings with each few inches of progress while drilling, it worked great! A testimony to the "Made in America" logo. I got all six holes drilled, saved the 100+ year old Oak tree, and the bill is still good for the next job. Well done Eagle Tool US! My story would not have had a successful ending had I bought the "Made in China" garbage at Home Depo or Lowes'.

I was expecting the bend on this to be a bit more flexible, but its just enough to get into a stud wall, through a single pattress box size opening. Used a couple of times now, wish i'd bought the slightly larger diameter, as i'd done the rough sizing calculation in my head.

I bought this because I use a fish bit at work and needed one for home. It is very good quality but the shaft is not flexible as it should be. I bought it to drill at a 90 Deg in walls. It works great as an extension as it is rigid and well made. It’s not a cheap Offshore replica.

I added an external duplex wall outlet. Power for it was taken from an existing interior GFCI outlet. The 1/2" x 36 inch long drill bit was exactly what I needed to get the job done. The 12/2 UF-B cable had to go from the interior outlet, down through the sub floor and sill (approximately 4.5-inches of wood). This got the 12/2 into the crawl space for easy passage to the exterior wall. While drilling I felt the bit strike a framing nail. But fortunately it wasn't a direct hit. So I was able to get past it without too much trouble. But I suspect the drill bit lost eight of its nine lives from the encounter with the nail. This project would have been more difficult without a long flex bit. No drywall repairs needed, everything was done inside the existing wall and in the crawl space.

The bit works just fine. If anything it flexes a bit too much. I was drilling up a wall from the basement. That wall has a stairway attached to one side. I thought I had drilled through the stringer and was headed up. Turns out the bit was going along the he bottom of the stringer at an angle and what I was drilling through were studs. When I realized what was happening and tried to back it out, the bit got bound up and the extension I was using came off the end. This bit will live in the house longer than I will. The second one of these I bought along with a 72” extension did the job wonderfully. I now have 4 Ethernet cables running from my basement to the second floor office with room to spare. Live and learn.
