Sneakers grip dancing? Not anymore with The DanceSocks!

THE DANCESOCKS turn any sneaker into a dance shoe! They easily go over sneakers so you can twist and turn protecting knees, ankles, and hips from injuries.

How To Choose the right Dance Socks.

Not All Material Works The Same!

THE DANCESOCKS are designed to be thin on purpose giving you an even surface to dance on. If a dance sock is too thick or feels like cotton, they can create a tripping hazzard. It may seem like a simple idea, but getting the dance socks to fit and function perfectly took over 2 years of working with our manufacturing in North Carolina. If it looks and feels like a sweatband, it's not The DanceSocks.

Dance Socks are made thin so you have any even surface to dance on.

How To Wear For More Grip.

Pull them over the front of your shoe. Step back onto the ball of the foot to test placement. If your foot slides, expose more sneaker sole at the toe end. Keep testing until you find the best placement for you. Every floor and sneaker are different. The DanceSocks should never be too slippery.

Dance Socks over sneakers made in the USA are Color matched.

Color Matched To Your Favorite Sneaker Brands!

Do you know there are hundreds of shades of black? So we asked Footlocker for help! They gave us the color codes to match your favorite sneaker brands like Nike, New Balance, Asic, and Adidas. You'll see the difference.

These are so much better than the ones made by Zumba brand. The quality is really good. I wear and wash them all the time and never baby them. Highly recommend.

I use these all the time and I love them. I line dance and I always wear these, it makes the floor more smooth, but does not ever make you feel like you're going to slip and fall. Also I find them good to take some of the pressure off my knees. The are easy to put on and remove. Once removed, just throw them in the washing machine and dryer and they are ready for my next dance day. They usually last me about 9 months or more (but I have a lot of them).

These dance socks are life saving. Well, they are ankle, knee and hip saving. I love to line dance, so I got the four pack and keep these socks on four pairs of shoes, from tennis shoes to my comfy sketchers. They fit on all easily and stay put. They arrived quickly and now I give them to my dance friends as gifts. Def recommend.

I have a narrow foot and used these one time (so far) with women's Keds classic sneakers when attending a swing dancing class. I had the brand new rubber bottoms on the Keds and had no applied the stick on suede soles I bought for them because I wanted to see how the Keds felt for dancing before committing to the suede soles. These sneaker socks were perfect! I was easily able to pivot on my forefoot as needed, and, despite my worries this would not be the case, they fit snugly and stayed secure without being tight on my feet. I bought these so I could invite random male partners (my son, a colleague, etc.) for swingdancing even if they didn't have good dancing shoes. But, I plan to use them myself so I can have various colors of Keds for dancing and also try out different dressy dancing shoes before putting suede soles on them. I have a narrow foot and cannot find dancing shoes that fit, even when they come in narrow, so these are a huge help to me. I have not tried them on men's sneakers but I see no reason why they shouldn't work well as they are stretchy. I do not know if they will work with women's dress shoes or even men's leather shoes as I don't know how much grab is needed on top of the shoe to keep these on. The canvas and laces of the Keds as well as the rubber bottoms gripped these well. I highly recommend these!!! Worn with graphite Keds, they looked fine, and I think they would look good with black as well. I don't think anyone would care if they don't match as anyone on the dance floor is not looking at you and definitely understands the need for the proper slipperyness. I wouldn't run on a smooth floor in them as they are slippery, but I didn't have any problems at all walking and dancing in these or running (literally) to the bathroom on carpeted floors in these.

Dance Socks are the best of the 3 types I tried.1. "Dance Socks" worked best, were easy to slip on and off and were by far the best value. I got mine on Amazon because they ship fast (http://www.amazon.com/THE-DANCESOCKS.../dp/B00FHB4LIE), but next time I'll try the maker's website (http://www.thedancesocks.com/) directly. Note: u get TWO pair for $10, not one like the other brands. S&H was $3.99 flat rate and took 4 days to get here. I ordered 3 sets and S&H were still only $3.99 total. Why 3 sets? Because I'm a freak that looses stuff that is smaller than my house.2. "Zumba Carpet Gliders" were the most expensive and were hard to get on and off. They cost $14.95 for 1 pair, plus $6.50 shipping and handling. It took 10 looooonnnggg days to arrive. The Zumba Carpet Gliders I tried worked pretty well on my big feet but are hard to get on and off. A classmate tried these and told me for her small feet that the "one size fits all" were too big and slipped off.3. "Smoother Dancers" were the first type I tried. They cost $13.50 plus $3.32 S&H. They were cheaper than the Zumba version but more that twice the cost of Dance Socks. In my opinion, they are easier to get on than the Zumba product but don't work as well Zumba. Dance Socks were easiest to get on and worked the best in my experience.

Okay, so I ordered these and I've used them several times. They work great on the wood floor during my Zumba workouts. I'm no longer sticking to the floor in my gym shoes and I'm able to gilde and spin much better. Injuries are much less likely to occur in the ankle and knee region due to this. However, I've had a couple of issues. I have noticed some numbness in my toes when wearing these. That is very uncomfortable when you are trying to use your feet a lot...pretty hard to dance when your toes are numb. I'm not sure why this is happening...It never happened before I started using the Dancesocks. Another issue is I have slipped too much a couple times and scared myself. That is probably user error and I need to experiment more with placement. But I really don't like the numbness I'm feeling. That is making me reconsider my purchase. I'm just not sure if this is just me, or if it's because I have larger feet (size 10) or what.
