Because of the design, you can remove the lid under full pressure and it will not explode as regular old fashioned pressure cookers can. My wife had on one of the old fashioned kind blow up and decorate all 4 walls, the ceiling and the floor with food. The vent hole had become plugged so it couldn't release the extra pressure. So she is fearful of pressure cookers to this day. She amost screamed the first time I opened it without letting the pressure drop. I really like it and enjoy opening the lid under full pressure whenever we have a visitor.

I'm using it to cook fried chicken. Works like a charm and is very safe. Kind of pricey but is a very good quality pot.

I bought the Magafesa pressure cooker because of its high quality rating—I always purchase the highest quality cooking tools i can afford because they get a lot of use and it pays off in the long run. However I was too busy moving to Give it a try during the one month window given to return it. The first time I used it a week ago it leaked. I read all the instructions, put it together correctly. After it leaked I had my husband double check to make sure I hadn’t missed anything. So I tried it again, and again it leaked.Now I have to deal with contacting the company directly to see if they’ll take it back and send me another to use. I work full time and have kids and just this one extra step is another thing on an already long chore list I didn’t expect from such a highly respected manufacturer.

So far I use it mainly for making soups and ramen broth.I purchased this due to its size and perceived quality over other Chinese built options. It's quite heavy, made of nice thick stainless steel.I'm pretty happy with the performance. It turns pork bones into a delicious broth in 30 minutes or so.Make sure you put enough water in or stuff gets burned to the bottom, I experienced this making pea soup.

Llegó rápido el producto, lo malo fue el embalaje, venía ligeramente rayada la tapa de la olla. Y tampoco traía la vaporera, al revisar el manual, indica que es opcional, pero no hay posibilidad de comprarla extra en amazon.
