Nice looking product but was a little disappointed that cabinet door panel did not shut flushed to mantel. Had to return.

I’m super happy with this mantle. The Java color is a beautiful deep brown that still allows the wood grain to show through. There were no dents or dings in ours and it’s as square and solid as it can be. The hidden compartment is a bonus that set this mantle apart from the rest. It came prior to the estimated delivery date. Installation was a breeze once we were able to drill through our tile. I’m happy to have a slightly more modern looking mantle rather than the rustic ones most were selling. So happy to have this installed prior to Christmas!

This mantle was easy to install & is sturdy. Packaging protected very well. Arrived timely. Great value for price. Looks great on my fireplace wall with new TV.

Fold down front could have been aligned better. Installs easily with provided cleat. Solid wood, not particle board. Very sturdy. Great for hiding wires / cables and storing remotes etc.. Good product overall.

I have to say the mantel is beautiful. The only negative I can say is that the first one came damaged. I clearly received a product that had been returned by someone else. It was damaged, packed poorly and had tons of tape on the box indicating it had been opened and resealed. I thought it would be a hassle to get a replacement, but that was not the case. The company was very quick to respond, did not give me a hard time, and replaced it immediately. I was very pleasantly surprised. You would think that I would give them less than 5 stars but they took care of the problem so quickly and professionally that I just had to give them an excellent score.

The shelf itself looks great. Seems sturdy, the color is nice, does not feel cheap. There were no mounting instructions or hardware in the box, no holes drilled to hang it with, and pencil marks on the back of it. I am thinking I received a returned item. Also, the small piece of wood it hangs on is cut too large, so if you are not able to shave off a bit, it’s not going to fit.
