Simply the best cookware on the market. It’s all the little details, shape of the handles for easy off use, the lip for pouring. Beautiful products

As with all Mauviel cookware that I own. It does a great job with heat distribution therefor cooking food evenly and thoroughly. Handles on lids do get hot. Handles on the pots themselves, do not. Cleaning has been easy.

The pot is nice overall, good handles and good capacity. However, the bottom is not as thick as I hoped it would be and the handles heat up much more than I thought. And one major thing that pisses me off about Mauviel is those damn stickers inside the pan and on the lid. Even if you remove them without them ripping, there is a glue left behind that has to be scrapped off.

This is a beautifully crafted pot and lid that lives up to the Mauviel name. I got this because my wife was complaining that any time she made pasta, she either had to use a pot that was too small (and have water overflow) or a pot that was too big (and took forever to heat up). At 6.4 quarts, this pot is quite large and can easily hold the 4 quarts of water that many pasta brands recommend you use for cooking pasta. This leaves quite a bit of room for the water to bubble up with out going over the edges. The lid is of amazing quality. I notice with All Clad that the pots are often very nice but the lids don't hold up. Not so with Mauviel. The rim is just the right shape to allow controlled pouring. It heats very evenly and, on my gas oven, heat control is amazing. I can watch the level of the boil change in near-real time as I change the gas setting. So far my wife loves this and used it a lot. I definitely recommend it.

This pan is just what you want for making big batches of stock or stew. It is aesthetically pleasing for starters. Looks as expensive as it is. the inside bottom has a slight curve which should make cleaning even easier. Nice and heavy but still "liftable" with a full load of food. I hadn't tried this brand before but I will definitely look for additional pieces as my Scanpans continue to wear out and get scratchy looking. I'm starting to think non-stick is not a good investment, no matter how great in the beginning.
