This drum [I actually have all three in this series/finish] makes me wonder how good some of Meinl's top end models must be! Great value for the money ~ all three for less than $1000, stands included. And I'll have to say that they're really good stands, absolutely no issues w/stability, resonance, or aesthetics.

I bought this for my wife for Christmas. From the picture I couldn't really tell how nice it is. Beautiful finish, great sound! It's made of Brazilian Rubberwood that looks a lot like Mahogany. High Quality tuners and stand. Looks like we'll be picking up the other two "companion drums" very soon. Got it delivered to Hawaii Overnight. Amazon rocks.... and now, so do we!
