I replaced my existing RV porch light with this motion detection porch light. Replacement was simple on my RV. I just removed the old light and hook this new light up to the same wires. Installation time was maybe 15 minutes. This light can be set to stay on all the time or set just for when there’s motion up to about 40 feet. It use the existing switch for the old light. If you wanna just turn the light on, you, just turn the switch on and it will stay on all all the time at night. It turns off in the daylight. If you wanted to turn on with motion detection, you toggle the switch twice. Then the light will only come on if a detect motion. I would recommend this light for your RV.

I bought 4 of these lights. The are bright but the inner gasket is almost impossible to install. It does not stay in place while trying to install the lens. This is a very poor design. I will not buy any more until this problem is fixed

The LED light is very bright. The only issue I had was it took a minute or two to go from motion detection day time mode (blue light flashing) to night time mode (flashing green).

I love this light. It is so much larger than the stock outside door light on my rv. It was easy to install and fit over the footprint of the original light, no extra holes drilled! Just be sure to check the fitment chart so you get the right base if you don’t want to drill any more holes on the outside of your door. This light is bright and the motion detection is an added plus. Highly recommend for brighter light!

I replaced the porch light on my previous camper with this motion light and loved it. When I got my new fifth wheel it did not come with a porch light, so I purchased this item and installed my own porch light. I don't like keeping a porch light on all night but this light only turns on when there is motion detected. No negative comments to add. It is well made and easy to install.

Bought this light to replace existing light on a used RV I just purchased. The old light was dimmed by age and sun exposure. Further, it was not an "automatic" light. I had questions about fit and operation so I called the company. Talked to the owner first hand. He not only knew what he was talking about, but asked me to send pictures of my existing RV setup so he could be sure of how to help. I've delayed writing this review because I wanted to put the light through actual road/travel/camping activities. It worked fine and fits like it was designed for my rig. If you're looking for a replacement light that will fit, provide extra security and help you find your door at night, this is it.

I like these lights. After a month of testing them (while attached to my Jeep topper with velcro and external, temporary wiring to pick the right location and verify function), I permanently installed them on my Jeep. They are used for security lights on the Jeep when sleeping in the roof top tent. Most of my camping is done alone and as far out in the boonies as I can get. The lights are meant to easily turn on when I approach my vehicle at group campouts, and alert me if anyone/thing approaches the vehicle when alone. They work and they are easy to use. Turn on the switch and the lights will either turn on or they won't. If they turn on, they will stay on. If they don't turn on, they will when the motion detector is tripped (but only after dusk/dark) and will turn off 60 seconds after motion ends.On the ladder side of the rig, the light turns on automatically if I climb down the ladder at night. Very cool!I was very hesitant to drill holes in the side of the Jeep's topper, but the functionality is worth it IMO.Edit:I forgot to say that the motion detector is very reliable and though they are said to be adjustable, I've left them on the factory setting so far. If you are with ten yards of the Jeep at night, the lights turn on. Seems to be pretty close to a 180 degree pattern of motion detection. But, there is a blinking blue LED light that indicates that the motion detection is enabled. It's pretty bright and distracting when group camping. Everyone keeps asking me, "What is all that blinking crap on your car?" If there is a way to disable the blinking blue lights, I'd love to know how. When camping alone, I don't want anything blinking to draw attention to my Jeep when sleeping in the dark.Oh, and the blue tape in the picture was to clean up the RTV that sealed the lights after installation. When done, it looks pretty nice and more-or-less like OEM parts.

It could have 180 degree sensor and a dimmer for mood light

MG-1000-450BLK I gave it a 3star initially because it did not have the mounting plate packaged with the the light as shown on Amazon. Gregg Wilson reaches out to me and explained that Amazon ships the plate separately. I received it the next day. The plate fit existing hole pattern as promised. Gregg sent me a link to his installation video. Ez install. Gregg is a treasure chest of RV Knowledge. I was having an issue with the motion detector when I had my slide out. Greg talked me through that issue. Now it is working flawlessly. Gregg asked what other coach related projects were going on. I shared that I was updating to all LED 6400k. Although I did not buy my lighting supplies from him he helped me with proper conversion and suggested good supply sources. The coach lighting is updated and beautiful. Thank you Gregg for your wonderful Motion light and for bring knowledgeable and helpful with with your RV advise. Happy travels and be safe.
