The reinforced cam thrust timing cover features a .090 inch thick wear plate welded into place which provides a positive cam stop as well as stiffens the timing cover to stand up to severe loads. Nice and stiff steel with quality welds that went the whole distance of the curved lower lip that creates the top half of the front main seal with the oil pan.Some competitors covers just use a few tack welds to hold that lip in place which can lead to leaking.I took one star off because the gold zinc finish looks good, but it is so weak that I scratched it with my finger nail!

First off, you can't use the factory bolts with this cover because the fitment is so tight you can't get a socket or a wrench on them.And secondly, the cover came warped worse than my 40 year old factory cover.Lastly, almost no timing tab will fit with this cover either so good luck setting your timing.

The lip that hooks into the oil pan is welded instead of spot welded. Well made high quality product.

Works perfect, excellent fit. Very durable steel so you can pound in that crank seal without bending, fit perfectly over my double roller timing chain, and looks great!
