If you own this vacuum, after a year or so it will stop running after 10 seconds of being on, happens to 80% of them, Milwaukee is still using a faulty thermal sensor and it's $75 to repair under warranty. Open the top up, clip the red wire that goes down the side to the sensor and connect it directly to the other red wire in the wire clamp. Boom, it'll work now. Shame on Milwaukee for continuing to sell these with this hugely popular known issue. Milwaukee is usually great but with this issue and theor failure to modify the design, it really has me second guessing Milwaukee now. Hope this helps.

Product came exactly as listed. Great features simple to use. The dumping feature on bottom is engineered really well. Powerful enough for shop cleanup. And sleek enough for household chores.

This vacuum has plenty of power for what it is. It will eat up a battery in a hurry. My biggest complaint is they put the latch to open the dust compartment in the stupidest place possible. It's hard to open and even a bigger pain to close. Why didn't they put it on the front of the compartment. The filter is also hard to remove if you have big hands. All in all it works pretty good its not like the old dust busters that wouldn't pickup anything.

I did an experiment a little over 16 months in. With the sun angling through the window making airborne dust visible. I vacuumed my living room and kitchen, picking up loads of dust and cat hair. Surprisingly I didn't see any appreciable increase of dust or cat hair in the air, or later, on surfaces. What this tells me is that the original filter and seals are still in decent condition. At about this time I'm considering replacing the filter since mine's looking a little rough from slamming against the porch and blasting it with compressed air to get the dust out. Hard to say if those things shortened or extended its life but I'd say the current filter has a few months of life left at my current (weekly) level of usage.

I have used many different small vacuums, corded and cordless, and nothing comes close to the suction power of this vacuum. It has power similar to my large shop vacuums. Very impressed! I have used it for about 3 months now and I have yet to replace the battery for recharging. It was very well constructed, rugged, and tough. The only negatives I have encountered so far is that it's not light in weight and it's fairly loud. However, if you're vacuuming out your car just turn it on, lock the switch to on, and use a tool and the hose to reduce the load on your arm. Also, I read that people were having challenges locating a brush attachment that fit the end of the vac and/or the hose. I have had no such challenge. We already had a couple 1-1/4" ID brushes lying around our office/lab area at work.

Bought this for my personal cleanup tasks while doing the Honey Do's... Before I even got home my teen age son had it open and was demo-ing it to the rest of the kids. All of a sudden vacuuming was cool! And my new tool, a couple batteries, and a charger had been permanently relocated to the kitchen pantry. The wife had now decided it's a kitchen tool, not to head back to the garage. "Yuck!".The two wand tubes and hard floor head are the real accessories which made the difference. Clean up of dry material is a snap, it's easy to maneuver. A bit heavy for the wife and kids until they put a second hand on the body, then they are off and running. We have all concrete floors throughout the house. A 1.5Ah battery is good for 600-900 square feet depending on how thorough the operator is. In minutes, it's about 15 minutes of run time. That's why I lost two batteries and a charger to the pantry to support the vacuum. A bigger battery would definitely help... though adds weight for small helpers. I'd rather keep the small helpers engaged and swap batteries more often. As a vacuum alone the nozzle feels rather short and the whole unit a bit bloated... but it holds a bunch of stuff after making a mess. It's not too loud. Quieter than I had expected, but requires raising your voice to speak over.In a power sense it definitely has enough, though is not as strong as a shop vac. Better than other handheld vacs I've used... but I have not used very many to make a good comparison. So if you want to vacuum the upholstery in the car... stick with a good old fashion shop vac. If you are buying only one tool for multiple purposes, this one buys you mobility at the expense of some power (compared to a shop vac). I'd still buy this over a shop vac in space limited circumstances.Hey Milwaukee, Where are the LED's for working in dark corner's or under desks like so many of your other tools have? If there is one thing that makes this feel like it's not quiet as well designed as other tools, it's the absence of the LED's for small dark corners when using the vac without attachments. The latch feels a bit awkward... but it's livable, it does seal up well. Those LED's are needed when the product gets a refresh!
