I love this particular Moen valve, but unfortunately they no longer make this model. I’m a plumber of 45 years and you really can’t go wrong with Moen. Great customer service.

This valve has been around for years and still unchanged. still a solid brass casting with machined surfaces which work very will with the rubber seals in the cartridge. The valve has worked flawlessly and does not leak. Made of brass it will continue to work without any issues for years to come.

The nice thing about Moentrol valves is that they are dual function, you can control temperature and volume / flow. Most or all of the shower valves sold at the retail stores have temperature control only. There is no volume control, just off or full flow. The Moen PosiTemp valves are like that, single function & usually what is on the shelves at big Orange H or big Blue L. This valve also has screwdriver stops, shut off valves that are turned with a screwdriver. This allows the valve to be serviced without shutting off the whole house. It’s also an important feature so the valve body can be flushed out properly after installation. The valve cartridge is included with this valve body. When ordering your trim kit (the handle) be sure it is listed to fit a Moentrol valve. The trim for PosiTemp and Moentrol are usually different fits and not interchangeable. The 3570 has 1/2” copper sweat fittings so you will need to know how to solder properly. Don’t attempt soldering unless you have experience. Overheating or cold joints are common mistakes and can lead to failed connections. Use this for a tub with shower OR if it’s a shower only you simply solder a stub with cap on the bottom outlet of the valve body.

A known good quality long lasting item, I use many of these a year. No issues, simple to change cartridge in 7 or 8 yearsThis one is replacing a $700 Grohe which failed after 10 years and manufacturer will not honor the warranty

I bought this valve to replace similar Moen product. The prior unit had been in use for past 32yrs. During that time I replaced the cartridge 4-5x. As Moen claims 'Built for Life' their warranty is excellent concerning free valves. Since the water has a greater alkalinity in our area I expected the valve to be corroded. This was not the case. Project started with replacement of all Poly-b in house. Since I had the wall open I decided I might as well replace the valves. Important tip: If your valve has smooth (sweat) connections for 1/2 copper insert, make sure you remove all four inserts prior to soldering on copper pipe to prevent damage. Secondly, make sure your torch has sufficient heat to bring brass valve portion up to temp, achieve good solder connection. Lastly, do not apply too much solder as you risk it pooling inside the valve and fouling machines openings for your inserts.

Make sure you know what trim you will be using before buying valve

This is a great valve. Highly recommended by my plumber. We've had it a year and it's great. You can flush a toilet in any part of the house and it won't be affected. The volume control (amount of water coming out) is hard to find now. Most valves only adjust temperature and control a shock from water pressure change. Worth the money. I read it's the 'lexus' of valves. The CC means copper connection and was preferred by my plumber for a no leak ever connection as it's soldered. Going behind tile so that's a good thing. I highly recommend.

here's a tip. Mount the valve on a 2x4 horizontally with the screw tabs. Then you can level the valve so the trim plate will look nice

These Moen valves are just top notch. Although be sure to have it professionally installed as there is soldering (or at least installed by someone who really knows what they're doing). You also need to place it at the proper depth in the the wall. In my apartment building this is the only valve I'll but in when we remodel a bathroom.

These babies, when matched with Moen control handles, are the best of the best. The dual shower systems that I had installed to accommodate my wifes' illness work like a charm. And, you can't beat Moen for product support. If it goes bad, they send you the part, or, the whole system, dependent upon the nature of the problem. Example, I also replaced the kitchen faucet with a Moen unit, and, had the misfortune of crimping an o-ring on one of the units' snap-together connections. They walked me through a re-connection of the hoses, to stop the drip, which failed to solve the problem. Apparently they couldn't send out another o-ring, so, they sent the whole bloody unit. What more can you ask for. Plumber recommended (from a previous visit).

I order from Amazon all the time, and usually I'm very pleased, but I recently ordered a new bathtub, this valve, a faucet set, and a drain, all for my bathroom remodel, and most of it turned out to be a disaster. The drain leaked so badly that after two days of trying to make it work, my plumber bought a different one at Home Depot. He installed this valve in the wall, which was then tiled over, and today he returned to install the Moen faucet I bought at the same time from Amazon, which is supposed to work with this valve. As it turns out, the trim kit for the faucet has screw holes in different places than this valve. According to the plumber, this is an older valve style which does not work with the current trim kits. Removing the valve now would mean ripping the wall open again and then retiling, so that's not going to happen. We are going to have to hunt down an old trim kit or buy a different faucet--which means I'll be eating the cost on this faucet, since parts of it are already installed in the wall. Since I already had to eat the cost of the $75 dollar drain I bought from Amazon, I am not at all happy with this order overall.
