So, I have usually just used the tightening of the bolt in the housing to open the leaves of the molly bolt. It's always worked well enough. But this is indeed faster and easier, there is less chance of damaging the bolt itself, and if I were setting a whole lot of them I would reach for this thing. At the price it is worth the tool, especially if like me you are a bit of a tool hoarder, but not strictly necessary for the job. It's worth the space in the tool drawer but not on the wall of tools I reserve for frequent access stuff.

This is a very useful tool that is very easy to use. Both the tool and the screws are durable and sturdy. I've used it for shelves that are on the heavier side and made the process easier and quicker.

These tools are very handy when the need arises to fasten a shelf or hang something on a wall that is hollow and there are no studs in the location chosen.Quick and easy process, just drill a hole the size needed for the barrel of the hanger being used.Make sure you measure the anchor correctly the anchor should fit snuggly in the drilled hole.Also, for you tough guys out there, YES you can squeeze the gun too hard and ruin the anchor or the wall area.Be careful when applying pressure or you might make yourself a bigger task repairing the wall.This is a nice sturdy tool that works very good. The price is comparable to others I have seen. In my opinion, this is a good value for your money.
