I have made mooncakes with the traditional wooden molds and it impossible for me to get a clear image, but with my mooncakes were perfect! You have to make sure to flour the inside and make sure it's COMPLETELY dry or else your dough will stick, but after a few tries I got the hang of it. 100% recommend!

These let me make GF mooncakes with my daughter who has celiac disease. We had a wonderful time trying the beautiful designs.They were simple to disassemble and clean.

I had never made moon cakes before, we used to buy them from Asian grocery stores. There are very expensive these days. Watched a number of YouTube videos and was inspired to make them myself.I chose this mold was primarily because its price and traditional stamp patterns. Since it was my first time making moon cakes, I didn’t want to invest in an expensive one.It was very easy to switch the stamps and the mold was easy to operate. Pressing down the handle of the mold with the right amount of the force, the design of the stamp appeared on the moon cake. My black snow skin moon cakes turned out to be successful. See picture.I will make moon cakes again this year but can’t do it without the mold! Honestly speaking, the money I saved from not buying the moon cakes from the store last year was enough to buy 5 of this mold. Also I had a lot of fun making the moon cakes!

This was my first time making mooncakes. These molds/patterns were great. No problems getting the cakes out of the mold.

Because I used this only twice so don't know how durable it is over time. Results are good so far.1. The interchangeable plate may be difficult to install inside the mode especially with large hands and fingers. Once used to the mechanism there is no issue the second time.2. The locking mechanism with the mode doesn't look or feel strong. I am careful now but I worried I might break it someday when I am careless.3. I washed it by hand the first time thinking dishwasher might not clear well or would corrode the metal. The second time I just through in the dishwasher and it cleaned fine with no corrosion.

This mooncake mold was much smaller than I expected. I will probably order a larger sized mooncake mold. I thought I was ordering the sizes I usually buy at the store, but these were not. Too small. They worked fine, but the pattern on the actual cake diminished over time and was almost invisible by the time the cakes set up. Not sure if I made an error or not, but I'm only half-way happy with this purchase. For everyone else........order the bigger size.
