Really like this hatchet. Has nice curve in handle to prevent slipping. Super sharpe and great steel like their knifes. Recommend product.

Who needs a small compact axe, so sharp you can shave ur fave and get a cleaner shave than leading brand razors. Probably not alot of people, but I say I do. Love this little axe. Will be a great skinning axe. Won't even need to bring a knife. All in one package.

This is a beautiful, lightweight, medium duty camp axe. Everything from Morakniv is quality, purpose built gear, and I’m so happy to have this in my bag now. The Scandi grind on the cutting edge is nice, and easy to maintain. The back of the axe head can be used as a hammer to pound in tent stakes or whatever. This is the first boron steel cutting tool that I’ve ever owned, and I have high expectations for its performance. The handle design allows you to choke up for short stroke chopping work like busting up kindling, or move your grip to the bottom for hard swings at thicker branches or logs. The leather blade cover fits over the sharpened edge perfectly and secures with a snap. Nothing in your bag will get cut. *Add a paracord or leather lace wrist strap through the lanyard hole for a more secure and stable grip.

Seguramente no es la más efectiva pero ideal ara cargar y con un diseño único. Lleva pequeña funda para la hoja

Nice and sharp blade. Small, but handy size. However, I wanted to love this hatchet like the other Morakniv products. Unlike some other brands, this one is a soft enough plastic handle that wood pieces get wedged between the handle and the hatched metal head. This doesn't happen on my cheaper other brand. While I still like it, I have to admit this bothers me.

Works well for its intended use. This is a very light axe to use for light chopping and light splitting and other tasks. This is not meant for processing a lot or large pieces of wood.I have used this for about a year and a half and have had no trouble in my applications of this tool. It packs well and works great for camp chores and processing campfire wood when backpacking and camping. I love the axe it fits my needs well.

I’ve used this for a few months and I can say I’m thoroughly impressed. The handle is strong and ergonomic. The edge on the blade came sharp and has help up well. I’ve only had to touch up the edge a few times after relatively heavy use. I will eventually have to put a new edge on it but that doesn’t seem to be anytime soon. The sheath it comes with could be better but for the price it’s not that bad. After all, you’re buying this product for the axe and the sheath is secondary. Some complain about the odd steel but I’ve had no issues with chipping or corrosion. Like I stated before, the edge has held extremely well. Just another great Morakniv product. Maybe offer a few other colors for the handle down the road? At this point I’m really reaching for cons. Lastly, it should be noted that the back of the blade is pretty thin compared to other axes and isn’t great for use as a hammer or driving in tent stakes. However, you can just turn the axe to its side and use the side of the handle (near the head of the axe) to drive in the stakes. I wouldn’t recommend any heavy duty strikes with this method.

I took this on a short, two night backpacking trip. There's obviously a trade-off with weight when it comes to hatchet usability, but we found this to work really well. We split wood and kindling for several hours worth of campfire and had no issues. My concern was with the design of the blade inside the handle. Splitting wood puts the handle in the impact area, but we had no problem. It's not the best hatchet I own, but it's a pound lighter than my next one, and for backpacking that's worth it. Because of its light weight, chopping is less effective, but batoning (embedding the hatchet and then driving it the rest of the way through with a heavier section of wood) worked very well. This will go on most of my trips from now on.
