Looking at other cheaper versions and purchasing one of them the brass nipple on the cheaper versions popped out leaked gas everywhere this version your stamped in there in a different design which prevents it from coming out

The listing states this is a direct replacement for, among other models, a Yamaha WR400F. It is not because the fuel hose barb on this is smaller than the original Yamaha part. Specifically, this part has a 1/4 inch barb, while the yamaha uses a 5/16 . While this might seem like a minor differece, it requires replacimg the original 5/16" fuel line with a 1/4" hose to avoid leaks, but the fuel barb on the carburator end is of course 5/16" and stepping down the aproximately 5 inch fueil line to fit two differnent sizes is a hassle i dont want to deal with to accomodate a $10 part that was incorrectly manifactured. Rather than return this cheap part, i used the fuel strainers from it and purchased a rebuild kit to replace all the seals on my original yamaha petcock, which now works perfectly.

Used this on a yamaha breeze 125. Perfect replacement, cheaper than buying all of the o-rings to repair the bad one on the quad. Super happy.

Bought this to replace the oem fuel selector which was corroded due to old stale fuel. This part matched the factory valve perfectly and came with new tank gasket. Works well!

All the parts fit. Well almost. The thermostate housing and circuit plates were a little bigger than the originals, with more terminals. Took some creative machining, but once in, it all works very well.
