I drive a 2013 F-150 Lariat.I bought this switch to go with the one on the otherside because it had failed (would skip music when i wanted the volume to go up). They are quite expensive when you buy them as a set but I recommend buying them as a set because you have to take the airbag off to replace the switches (tons of youtube tutorials). It's harder to install than you would think, so I recommend buying both switches so you don't have to do it again.The buttons work fine, they feel stiffer than the old ones, but they seat well and haven't had any other issues.

I wanted to replace the basic gauge cluster in my 2011 F-150 STX. In order to control the LCD gauge cluster from a higher end F-150 (XLT, FX, Lariet etc.) you need this left side and style of control switch.Install was easy, unplugged the battery for 30+ minutes in order to ensure no more power was supplied to the airbag, popped the airbag out using a small allen wrench - push allen wrench into 3 small holes, under the steering column, right side and left side of steering column, unplug the switch, and use a trim remover tool to wedge under the old switch and pull up and wiggle until it pops free. New one installs in reverse.If you're having trouble with your control switch, either left or right side, you can buy them separately and they both install the same way. Takes 10-15 minutes if you don't include the time you need to have your battery unplugged.
