Unfortunately, the item arrived in used condition. The factory seal had been broken & a piece of tape had been placed over the factory seal. There were grease marks resembling fingerprints on the item’s black outer case. There was a hair inside the item. I returned it. I chose not to replace the item because I was not confident that it would not happen again. This was for me a high ticket item & I am very disappointed.

Pocas veces me tocan artículos defectuosos, y al parecer la primera motu recibida, tiene algún defecto de fabricación, que te hace perder el sonido completamente. Ojo con las unidades defectuosas.Por lo demás, que decir… después de que Amazon me hiciese el cambio para probar otra unidad, ahora no puedo estar más encantado.El sonido cristalino y la separación de los instrumentos, hace que suene a gloria en este rango de precio.Ahora por fin puedo decir, que me gusta la calidad de Motu.Gracias Motu y gracias Amazon por el servicio recibido.

Very pleased with the MOTU UltraLite-mk5. In terms of value for money, this is the best USB audio interface on the market. Sound quality and preamps are fantastic. I've connected this through a KVM to switch between a mac and PC, and have zero issues with this setup (Windows 11 and macOS Ventura). CueMix software is fairly intuitive and works well. With my previous interface (Focusrite Scarlett 2i4) I had to use an active inline preamp to boost my mic's signal, but no need for that anymore! That said, there's a few things I wish this interface had:-The digital display is all white, so it's a little hard to tell with the level metering if your signal is clipping - not the case with the M2/M4-Wish the XLR mic/headphone I/O was at the back for a cleaner look, but that would obviously come at a cost of I/O (which this has TONS)-Wish the volume knob was bigger, and not a notchy rotary encoder - something more freely spinning to turn the volume up/down quickerOther than that this is definitely worth it!

Todavía estoy aprendiendo a utilizarla pero tengo experiencias en otro tipo de tarjetas profesionales y puedo comentar con toda fiabilidad que esto es un tarjetón de narices, con una calidad de sonido y una fiabilidad de drivers para quitarse el sombrero.Si lees todos los comentarios existen comentarios negativos, voy a comentar cada uno de ellos.Problemas con ordenadores Apple: Debido a cambios en el sistema operativos con ordenadores Apple basados en la cpu M1 existieron problemas importantes en el pasado. Lo más seguro es que se han solucionado.Latencia mayor a la esperada: De esto depende generalmente de las características de tu ordenador pero en mi caso uso un ordenador basado en cpu intel de hace mas de 12 años y no tengo problemas de latencia, compré esta tarjeta de sonido pensando en actualizar el pc y salvarme de problemas al respecto pero la he instalado y no tengo ninguna preocupación con la latencia. El firmware y el driver ha evolucionado y hasta te permite utilizar un buffer de 16!!! algo espectacular que no había visto en ninguna review o comentario. Asi que cuando tenga un PC más potente y actual debería poder aprovecharme de un comportamiento con la latencia más favorable todavía.CueMix5 carece de la flexibilidad de audio de las modelos anteriores: Efectivamente todo parece que han quitado la matrix de enrutamiento de audio sin embargo hay que ser coherentes solo se quejan los que esperaban esa prestación, usuarios ya familiarizados con las Ultralite anteriores. Es muy razonable que si te gastas el dinero y de repente lo que esperabas obvio no está ahí, la decepción es muy pesada y escribes un comentario muy crítico y restas estrellas. Sin embargo cada caso es distinto, yo estoy cambiando de una tarjeta de sonido que tiene menos prestaciones a esta Motu Ultralite MK5 y todavía no me he encontrado con una necesidad faltante, como leí en un comentario yo no tengo necesidad de enviar una mezcla a un canal ADAT. Si ya se puede hacer o hay más carencias en este aspecto lo desconozco, todavía hay cosas que no entiendo su utilidad y me queda estudiarlo. Entonces se supone que MOTU hizo un cambio en el segmento de sus tarjetas y a esta la han definido como una tarjeta algo más fácil de utilizar y menos profesional pero manteniendo su calidad. Hay una persona que tiene videos en Youtube que posee también la MK4 y opinan que la MK5 tiene mejor calidad de audio y la falta de la prestación avanzada del enrutamiento no le resta valor porque es más fácil de usar y sus prestaciones siguen siendo interesantes.Si ocurre alguna otra novedad interesante actualizo el comentario.Actualización a 19 de Enero del 2024:Acaba de salir el firmware 2.0 (junto con otra actualización en el CueMix) con posibilidad de conexión network mejorada con la posibilidad de establecer una contraseña. Y veo más opciones en la parte ADAT (que dudo vaya a utilizar).Todo muy bien, bastante satisfecho.

I have two of these, and they have been rock solid performers. I use them for audio-reactive visuals in VJ gigs to intercept an audio feed from a DJ, OR an audio feed from my computer using the mk5's loopback feature. Latency for the audio inputs is super important to me and the latency on this unit is extremely low.The digital loopback feature is a godsend. And aside from the analog outputs, you can freely route audio how you like, with a similar number of digital outputs (to be made available to local apps of yours). Sound quality is great too, on a wide range of speakers.On Windows 11, this thing "just works". I really can't recall a time when windows didn't recognize this, or when anything else misbehaved.CueMix5 is superb, and the load/save preset feature is a godsend. The unit can function as a standalone digital mixer without a computer too, once it is set up from a computer or iOS device (via CueMix5 on either of those). Apparently MOTU is going to roll out a CueMix update with an API, opening the door to controlling this from scripts or 3rd party software, but that hasn't happened yet and I am eagerly awaiting that :)The mk5 is basically all I will ever need, in terms of an audio interface. Would highly recommend this one.

Dezember 2022:Ich möchte hier jeden warnen, der einen Apple M1 besitzt! Entgegen der Behauptung von MOTU arbeitet das Ultralite MK5 NICHT fehlerfrei mit diesen Geräten (auch nicht mit OSX Ventura)!Das Problem ist bei MOTU bekannt und wird auf angebliche USB-Probleme von Apple abgeschoben. Betroffenen Kunden wurden mit OSX Ventura vertröstet (da sollte es angeblich dann gehen) - das war eine leere Versprechung.Wie äußert sich der Fehler? Das Gerät produziert beim Aufnehmen in zufälligen Abständen (ca. alle 5-10 Minuten) laute Störgeräusche. Das zerstört potentiell jede Aufnahme und macht das Gerät zu einem guten Teil nutzlos. Es gibt derzeit KEINEN Workaround für das Problem (maximal die Nutzung eines PC oder Intel-Mac).

It's pretty incredible what this unit can do.It has the highest gain of any audio interface that he has reviewed, and is one of just two units that has more than 60db of max gain. It also has some of the lowest pre-amp noise out of dozens of units that he has reviewed. (Amir at AudioScienceReview also took measurements and came to similar conclusions).All of this means that is a technically excellent unit. Almost "lab perfect" performance. And that means it is great for very "gain hungry" mics such as the Shure SM7B.I've used it with the Shure SM7B, and my co-workers said "wow when did you get a broadcast recording studio in your house" when they heard it.The software is also excellent (especially on MacOS).The overall build quality is also top notch -- lots of metal in the construction, and nothing that seems like it will break off easily.

Has enough connectivity, back connections adat, toslink, spdif, analog, midi, all with in/outs, front has line, mic, inst, all in with one of the lowest db noise floor available. Compress/ reverb maximum supported sample rate is 96hz, Eq works on all sample rates up to 192hz.

I've been looking to upgrade my home 5.1 surround sound system DAC with a macOS interface that didn't exceed four figures, had a solid history of brand performance, and utilized one of the better chips available. This is it. Initial hook-up was incredibly frustrating, as I wasn't able to generate any sound from any outputs other than phones. After reinstalling the software including drivers, I am pleased to say the unit is performing flawlessly. The clarity of sound is wonderful. What's most intriguing about the unit are the endless possibilities it opens up in regards to input and output diversity. Looking forward to seeing how this unit performs on ASR.4/29/2023 - The best return on investment that I've enjoyed in the realm of hi-fi. Love this unit!
