March 3, 2025 update: upgrade to 3 stars because seller is concerned about their products and gave me a full refund. Will consider their products in the future.Original review: Nice design, but dull bits. Use with fingers? No way. Useless. Too late to return

Great for the price. Drill is secure in my hand when using, a little odd to turn with my fingers but that's just how the tool of this type work. Remember to punch a hole in the material first it helps, was taking while to catch initially until I punched a hole.

Found the 1/16 bit dulled quickly when drilling holes for servo mounting. This was just clearing holes that were predrilled. Used my dewalt bit(s) and that problem was solved. The top of the pen drill has a nasty metal to metal feel/grind and is not smooth when applying pressure with my palm. Required lubrication to smooth it out.Review update: The vendor Mr. Pen offered me a full refund.

But it turns out it was what I needed.I have just taken up stick weaving and I wanted some sticks that were smaller than is easily commercially available. It's easy enough to whittle a dowel rod to the right shape but I lacked a way to make the warp hole. Until now! On the left are the bought sticks on the right the ones I made. Sorry I didn't have a banana to show the scale. Both the drill body and bits seem sturdy enough especially since I doubt I'll be using it often. One tip I'll share is I used a brad to make a dimple in the wood in the exact spot I needed the hole and that was enough to keep the bit in place.

squeaks, and it's cheaply made, but it works fine.

I bought this thinking it was a battery powered hand drill but it's not, you have to turn it with your hands, but it still got the job done, I didn't really need an electric drill, but in case anyone else wants a drill and maybe their finger bones aren't so good anymore, I would be sure to get one that runs on battery.

I needed something in a pinch as my other drill is in storage. The drill itself is mediocre at best, doesn’t rotate super smooth like my other one. The real problem I believe is the bits, they have zero bite to them at all. After 15 mins of drilling with a 1mm bit I was barely into a soft resin material. I can only attribute it to the bits…I pushed it against my thumbnail to see if it would even grab, didn’t even leave a mark on my nail after a few rotations of the drill? It’s a cheap product at best, I’d look for something better as this is sort of useless as a pin vice drill….

I wanted a tiny hand drill to make holes in small wooden sticks for crafts, and these worked perfectly. If the stick is round the hand drill sometimes has trouble starting a hole, but once established it works great. You can help it out on round sticks by making a little dent in the wood with a pin or something first

This product is very straight forward, the bits come in a little plastic case which opens a little strange but I haven’t had any issues with that, the only thing I warn of is how sharp some of these bits are, if you aren’t careful you can gouge yourself pretty easily (yep I did it 😅) but as far as small light weight hand tools go this is a great addition to anyones collection I’ve used it for bookbinding and crafts mostly but it would work for a huge variety of things. It’s a little squeaky sometimes but as far as complaints go that’s very minor. All craft lovers need to scoop this up ASAP.
