MrMrKura Storm Glass
A Beautiful Decoration Bottle
Although the inventor is unknown, the weather forecast bottles became popular in the 1860s after being promoted by Admiral Robert FitzRoy, the director of the British meteorological agency.
In that period, the bottle was proposed as a method for predicting the weather. The liquid within the glass is a mixture of several ingredients, most commonly distilled water, ethanol, potassium nitrate, ammonium chloride, and camphor.
With the development of science and technology, people realize that the changes in crystals in the bottle are due to temperature changing. Although their accuracy cannot be compared to modern weather forecasts, it is still a beautiful decorative bottle.

I opened this a couple days ago and left it by the window. I'd occasionally peek at it and be like ok cool. It's about the same, but still looks cool. Well, this morning I finally got to see a dramatic change! We have extreme cold and a big snow storm coming tomorrow, and I see some very exaggerated details in the glass! :More sandy towards the bottom and feathery towards the top: This was a very exciting event for my morning and I am looking forward to seeing how it changes over the next few days!

My girlfriend fell in love with this thing at an airBnB. She didn't even know what it was she just liked it. I got this for her and now that we understand what it is I can see how it kinda works so it's functional and neat looking. My girlfriend was happy to have it even though she is really upset all week and will probably break up with me I think she'll still keep it.

I bought this and let it sit a few weeks to “adjust” and it did nothing. We have had storms, rain and snow and nicer days and no movement. If you want to use it as a decoration it’s pretty but doesn’t do anything else so I returned it.

A beautiful accessory for my desk but was smaller than I thought its prob 4 inches high with the wood platform, its prety cool but wish it was bigger so people would notice it.
