Very simple and just works. Would be nice if the container was bigger; we apparently use a lot of these pods. Can hold about 10-12 worth of coffee grounds before needing to be emptied.

Even though this is a manual pod crusher (actually turns them inside out), it is certainly worth having, especially if you have as many coffee drinkers in your family as we do. We buy our favorite "capsules" on Amazon because it's less expensive than purchasing direct...most of the time. However, recycle bags are only available by direct purchase, so to recycle them, we use this item to clean them out, and it works great!I find that if you give it a good push and a tap on the counter, the majority of the coffee falls out. (Starbucks capsules need a little extra umph, but illy & Lors are the easiest). Then with a quick spray rinse, they're ready for the recycle bin, and you can just toss the grounds or compost them, whatever works for you.Just a tip...with Nespresso compatible capsules, you can only empty 12-15 at a time before you have to empty the cup and start on another batch. It takes me about 20 minutes to empty, rinse, and recycle about 50 capsules.I love being able to put them in my weekly recycle without having to pay for recycle bags (which should be free and more easily accessible). Pictures show how my setup works, but you do what's convenient for you. I use the towel for the "tap" on the counter for noise reduction because we also have late sleepers in our house 🤫, and also so I don't crack the cup 😉

Device doesn't come with instructions, and there is a right way to use it and a very wrong way. The correct way to position the pod that you intend to recycle is to place the large side of the pod downward with the tapered end of the pod above (pointed upward) the coffee grounds collection base. If you place the pod into the coffee grounds collection base so that the tapered end of the pod is pointing downward and the large flat side of the pod is up (resulting in the pod being flushly mounted), it will not work correctly and will require excessive force to operate.

Not only does this work well, but it is fun! It is quite compact, but that is good.Expensive? Maybe, but worth it in my opinion.

Great product! Slim, simple look allows me to keep it on the counter next to my machine. Reduced the size of my recycled Nespresso pods by 90%, saving room under my sink and reducing the costs associated with returning the used pods. Sturdy and easy to use. It did take a few times to get the right pressure to crush the pod but you won’t hurt it. Very happy with my purchase.

There are a few options out there when it comes to clearing your coffee grounds out of your nespresso original pods, and most of them are either tedious, or way oversized for most counter tops. This handy device is small, sleek and inconspicuous. It looks like a thin shaker bottle. When you're done with your pod, place it upside down in the inverter, put the lid on, and press with steady pressure until you feel the pod give way. Once it's all the way depressed, give the tool a few quick taps on your counter to shake off most of the coffee grounds still stuck to the pod, and then you can take the pod out and rinse off any residual grounds before placing it direcly in the recycling bin. Before this tool, I was using a knife and slowly cutting the foil lid off, and scooping the grounds out, which took a long time. With this handy tool, it takes about ten seconds to clear the grounds, and recycle the pod each morning.

Small and easy to use, it fits the content of 8-9 coffee pods. It requires a bit of force to press the pods.

I have a L'Or I use the espresso pods and larger coffee pods. This tool is made for the small espresso pods, not the larger coffee pods, but with a little more effort (but not by much) the tool also empties out most of the grounds making quick work of recycling both sizes. The only reason I knocked off the one star is that the grounds collection chamber is pretty small.

Tried with 3 different types of coffee pods. Takes a ton of force to push and doesn't get half the grounds out.
