I got this for my Craftsman zero turn mower. The cable works fine, but it doesn't stay in place on the housing. The way it works is the end of the wire has a Z in it that sticks through a hole in a plastic disk. When the cable loses its lubricant and doesn't slide as well from friction, it takes more and more pressure to move it. Eventually, it wallows out the hole or deforms it to the point it will not stay in place any longer. You pretty much have to get a new one then. This new one is just as good as the OEM one I replaced. Maybe even better. I was going to put a few drops of oil on this new one, but it already slides good like it is pre-oiled. After installed, it works as it should. Perfect length, works fine. As long as it doesn't break soon, I will highly recommend this one.

No 5 star because if I was going to manufacture an aftermarket...where plastic meets metal throttle cable...... id reinforce plastic so it last more than 6 months to a year. Modification less than $.02 per item.
