How do I Maintain My Car's Electric Windows?
- 1) if the window can not be completely up and down, it may be the fault of the electric window switch, if so, then replace the electric window switch.
- 2) if it is found that the electric window motor is stuck, it should open the door decoration plate, and then spray lubricant on the inside of the motor gear of the electric window, and move up and down while spraying, so that a very small part can also be sprayed with lubricant.
- 3) check the rubber parts at both ends of the window glass guide groove. When the sliding condition of the window glass and the guide groove is poor, the rubber protective agent can be sprayed.
- 4) when the rubber strip in the window glass guide groove is hardened or stained, so that the window glass lifting is not smooth or stuck, the dirt should be cleaned, and then the lubricating oil is sprayed in the window glass guide groove for lubrication and keep the window clean.
Installation Instructions
- Disconnecting the Window from the Motor Remove the interior door panel. Gently remove the plastic door cover. Locate the window mounting bolts. Move the window if necessary to access the bolts. Remove the bolts while a friend supports the window. Raise the window up into the door frame. Use masking tape to secure the window in place.
- Disconnecting the Motor and Regulator Remove the window regulator bolts. Locate and remove the window motor mounting bolts. Disconnect the motor wiring harness connector. Remove the motor and regulator through the access port. Connect the regulator to the new motor.
- Installing a New Power Window Motor Slide the new motor and regulator back into place. Replace the mounting bolts. Reconnect the electrical connector. Remove the masking tape and lower the window back down. Insert the window mounting bolts. Reinstall the plastic liner and interior panel.

I would not purchase this again because after being installed, the window popped just like mine did with the broken gear teeth that I replaced on 3 of the 4 windows. Funny thing is I rebuilt 3 of the four motors by replacing the broken gears inside and they work perfect. The only window that got this new motor fails every time and I've been too busy to replace it again. To say its aggravating is an understatement after all the work so no I cannot recommend it. I guess I got a lemon. I guess I will be pulling it apart and replacing the gears that are bad inside just like I had to do on the other 3 so it was a bad investment for me.

This is my third time installing this as the mazda cx9 has a terrible design and used plastic gears. This product works great and stops the clicking noise when you roll up the window. Time will tell how long this one lasts.

Installed the motor and now the window works! Thankfully these motors are made with plastic gears, so they're made to fail. Thankfully replacement parts are readily available. If you're handy enough, and have YouTube, you can change them yourself! 😎
