I love this little pan. I'm an apartment dweller and I don't have access to an outdoor grill (not allowed to own one and none provided in apartment complex). With this pan I can get grill results using my stove top very close to a bbq outdoor grill. I purchased the smaller size of the two and it is perfect for me, as I cook for just one. Also, my apartment is a tiny studio it fits. I LOVE that the handle folds, and yes that spring mechanism has stayed tight over the years and supports the pan. I don't really know what the coating is on the surface, but I use just a tiny spray of non stick oil spray and the pan has ALWAYS cleaned very easily regardless of how brown the meat has gotten. To this day I really don't have any discoloration or scratches to the surface of the pan. I will say that it is small, so you aren't going to fit a giant steak in it.

This grill held up to the flames! Plenty of space for Cooking 2 meals or keeping a side warm. Love the handle that folds to be put away as well! It was easy to clean and it was nonstick with some help from the butter/oil

I really like this pan - it cleans well & is lightweight. My only complaint is the handle. I like that it folds for storage but I would prefer if it could be locked as I have inadvertently pinched my fingers when it folded up on me when I did not expect it to when cleaning the pan or getting it out/putting it away. I try to be extra cautious when cooking to remember the handle could fold….

Wow - this is fast becoming my favorite "go to" pan for almost anything. I have used it for several different types of meat, and I have to say, it works wonderfully. Meat browns beautifully, the high edges mean you don't get run off over the sides, and the griddling lines make it super easy to get a grip on meat to turn it. Once you are done cooking the meat, the pour off areas on the sides make it a breeze to dump any remaining grease.Clean up could be a little easier (especially if you are browning/searing meat) but if you soak it for a few minutes in a pan of soapy water, most of the particles wipe right off and the rest come off with a slight bit of scrubbing.I do have a bit of a problem in that it is on the heavy side, so (for me) it takes 2 hands to get it moved. The only real "drawback" I can find with this pan is that handle. Much as I love the fact that it's wood (thereby stays cool to the touch), that "flip" feature is dangerous! There is no way to "lock" it into place. I have accidentally flipped it up and into the pan during cooking (caught it picking up a spatula), and when cleaning the pan, it flips back and forth way too easily. If the manufacturer could figure a way to install some sort of lock feature on it, it would be a 5 star pan all day long.

I love this pan. It provides moderate grill marks which look nice on meat and veggies alike, and it's super easy to clean which I love. No elbow grease required! The handle folds over, making it slightly compact, which is great because I have almost no kitchen storage space.I am perfectly satisfied with this pan and I definitely recommend it. Next time I buy a grill pan I'll look for one with slightly higher ridges to provide stronger grill marks. But in the meantime, this pan is great, and it's exactly what I was looking for.

Has great heat distribution and leaves great griddle lines on your food. Steaks and fish cook to perfection.I have had a similar pan for years, then bought a poor second one. Binned the last one, this new pan is as good as my 20 year old one. This time though the folding handle clips firmly into place. Luxury!

Our family has used this on multiple camping trips this summer and we cooked in this pan often. I love the quality of this pan. It's sturdy, distributes heat evenly, is great to cook on, and clean up is amazing--super quick and simple. The foldable handle and quality of the metal (both cooking and the conduction on the bottom) sold me. This is a great buy for your camping needs. I cooked burgers, chicken, and kabobs and this pan did a great job! I'm not cleaning about the quick and easy clean up! We liked it so much I just took it out of our camping/kitchen bin and used it on my home stovetop to cook burgers tonight! :). Great. Buy.

Love this pan, compact, well made, and works wonderfully well. I bought it to "grill" cuts of meat instead of using the broiler pan in the oven. Don't really need the little "grease drain-off spouts" on each side but they're not a problem. I plan on buying the next size up - so easy to store with the folding handle. And the non-stick is great and easy to clean. Oh, it's also great for "grilling" potato and vegetable slices.
