Here's a nifty little item for consumers of canned beverages, especially those whose local government levies fees based on the size of their recycle bin, those wanting to work on their arm strength, and regular Janes and Joes who believe in reducing garbage and recycling mass. Just slightly indent any empty aluminum can, grasp the lever, and pull down sharply to flatten the can to a height of 1 inch. The can crusher mounts into the studs of a permanent wall; be sure to choose a comfortable height for the main crusher in your household. You'll be able to compress a couple of cartons of soda cans, build a bigger bicep, and still have room in the bin for mixed paper and bottles. --Tony Mason

First: I want a refund. The fact they sent me a scratched-up returned unit should have been a clue. But I didn't see it myself. I thought, "It's a can crusher. What possibly could go wrong?" I mean the old one broke a rivet and replaced with a bolt. Handles eventually bent all to he!! so, what could a few scratches matter. They don't, this was design and built broken. Too late for me I folded the box and put it the trash. Coffee grounds juice made return not possible. I still want my money back. It's unusable. It's not worth returning.Second, how in the world did this piece of junk get made? Did nobody notice the unit - 1. Doesn't compress well but 2. You smash your knuckles on the (in my case brick) wall?

mounted it to the wall twice, the handle wouldn't go down easily at all. I say "twice' because i was concerned it might have been mounted crooked or off center.. but no. the unit was just defective. The arm wouldn't even go down smoothly when the unit was off the wall. I installed it after the return period was up so I ate the cost of the unit and recycled it.I recommend just paying the $20 for the #1 best seller model, which is very well designed - the $5 you theoretically save here isn't worth the poor build quality.

My family and I were so excited about this purchase. We were looking to recycle our aluminum cans and thought this would be fun for the kids to crush them. My husband attached it to the wall and we were ready to crush our first can.....sadly it didn't work at all. The product is so cheaply made that the levers actually bent in opposition directions. Now it will not crush a can at all. It's been thrown in the trash now and was a COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY ! Do not purchase at all.....look for another product.

Absolutely the greatest product on the market. The only problem I can see is that they are way too expensive. If they went down in price by about $1500, I'd buy a lot more of them. Other than the price, it works magnificently.

The product is designed for that it is advertised. The product however is durable or not well made. I bought the can crusher as I had been buying plastic bottles and the pint Coors Light cans. The crusher has the open hole in the top, so - OK! Looks like it fits the ticket. I tried to crush a pint can and it was a no go. The crusher did not have the strength to apply enough pressure and in the process of attempting to crush the can, the handle popped apart. The crusher is designed and sold as advertised. The product as mentioned is not durable. I don't recommend the product to anyone looking to crush more than small thin plastic water bottles. The seller did as expected, no problems there.

I liked the fact that this model was metal and very affordable- easily mounted (make sure to studs) with included screws. -Saves space in our recycling bins and we were able to downsize from two containers to one.

This is the second can crusher I have bought this year and like the first one it will do what it is supposed to do by crushing cans. The disappointing thing about this can crusher is that it does not crush the can completely flat and produces some sharp corners by not crushing it completely flat. I also believe it will eventually fail because the sides of the handle seem to be weak and flex. This is where the first can crusher failed. One good point about this crusher is it will crush large cans like Red Bull or other energy drinks.

Nice can crusher so far, especially with a comfort grip handle. be careful if you use a drill to install as it may strip the included screws, otherwise, it was pretty easy to install.
