This hardware sms gateway crashes randomly and requires regular reboots, which is a problem for a device used to send critical alerts via SMS. The lack of screen makes it impossible to find out when it has crashed or is otherwise no longer operating normally. The performance is slow (most likely due to the fact that it is running on a raspberry compute). It is completely proprietary which limits you to the existing features and its restricted web-based configuration. You cannot build over it, which is extremely disappointing. Not recommended.

Works for me with out any issues. I had to apply a patch to get it to work on Verizon. Maybe the latest software version you don't have to apply the patch. Was able to set up with out any issues and I am using a api to send sms messages.
