Ok so I purchased two starters at the same time and don’t know which one is which. The pics on here showed they looked like two different finishes but when I got them they look identical in every way. So I’m sure they are both made by the same company with different sellers. I installed one on a boat that had been sitting for 5-6 years so I had to do some cranking on it to get it to fire. Have started it a few times now since then and everything is working perfect.

I bought this for my 1996 Sea-Ray with a Mercruiser 3.0 LX Alpha One I/O. Depending on age, these engines have two different starter mounting bolt patterns. Mine has the two bolts in a straight line perpendicular to the engine axis. This starter fits mine. The other pattern has the two bolts staggered.
