I have a 462 big block with 10:1 compression installed the starter and worked great at first. Then started slowing down. Battery was good. Ran new battery cable from battery to starter. Still slow. Started to get a hot smell on start up in the morning. Installed my old starter and starter faster then the new one ended up. I liked the way it looked, but I installed it and it worked once. And stopped .I have asked for a refund or replacement and they sent another one right out free

Fits and works. It is lighter than the stock starter and turns the engine the same. 350 Chevrolet stock compression. The original bolts are too long so be ready to replace them with 1/2” shorter. The only complaint is the solenoid connection. It is a screw instead of a stud and is tedious to connect. Overall a good starter at a very reasonable price.

This a great little starter but the design is flawed. The mounting tab that is used for the outside mounting bolt is a square corner. Mine broke off in less than 50 starts. If that corner was rounded or if this block was made out of even just an A-36 grade metal it might be bullet proof. It spins my high compression 350 with ease

Works one of three times. Solenoid fails to engage. Even a cold start while watching Bendix, starter fails. I didn't install until return period expired. Junk.

This replaced a 10 year old Hitachi starter and perfectly behind headers on my sbc. Installed it 5 days ago. So far all is good.
