Don't buy this mat, it's horrible. The manufacturer folds them up and you can't get the creases out of it

So. I really like this mat, but you do need to be aware that it's VERY adhesive. Like to the point that it's pretty difficult to lay down without two people carefully holding the edges. (I did do this alone, so it's possible, but its WAY easier with two people.) That said, the adhesive doesn't damage the floor AND the whole thing can be moved even after you put it down. I did this a few times while initially "installing" it, and then did one more big move even after it had been placed on the floor for a few days. It does lift up easily and without damage, and then continues to be very adhesive. Even with all of that wrangling, the mat remained crease-free. It is thin enough to not create an annoying lip at the edge. It's very easy to keep clean. Because of the strong adhesive the edges stick to the floor very well. It's been down for a couple of months on a hardwood floor in a room with a good deal of heat and humidity and it looks absolutely brand new and totally flat. Great purchase.

I had LVP put down in my home office and this does a great job of protecting my floor. I wish it came rolled instead of folded, but it is slowly flattening out. All in all, I would buy again.

I've got some vinyl "wood" flooring in my place, and it's not a good idea to roll chairs or anything heavy with wheels on this type of flooring. This can leave dents or marks in the flooring, so if you have rolling chairs it's a good idea to use a chair mat. This mat is basically a thin piece of carpet with a tacky backing. The backing isn't really adhesive—it's more of a rubbery/vinyl-like material that's slightly sticky and keeps the mat from moving around. This is good, because chair mats on wood flooring tend to move around and not stay in place. This also means it won't leave any sticky residue on the floor.I used it underneath my desk chair, and it rolls on it just fine. The mat ships folded, and as you can see from the photos it's got creases from the folds. It's got a sheet of plastic over the backing to keep it from sticking to itself, which you'll need to remove before using it.After unfolding it, removing the backing and placing it on the floor, it still has creases from shipping. Because the backing isn't really adhesive, this means the creases will still "stick up" until they have a chance to settle. I'm hopeful this will occur after the chair has a chance to roll on it for a while. If it doesn't eventually flatten out, I'll update the review.

TLDR: Thin in a bad way, anchors poorly and just getting it to and keeping it in a flat state on the floor takes effort. You can make it work with extra effort and it is nice and light weight for mobile use and repositioning, but there are better alternatives and I would not recommend it.The material is thin, but not in a good way. Feels cheap and not very durable, but so far is holding up under foot and light chair traffic. It came awkwardly folded and took me a few days to get it MOSTLY flat with the help of some books and other random items for weight, but some corners will still pop up randomly if not secured with something more than just the sticky back, making it a tripping hazard. That sticky back itself seems like a terrible alternative to proper rubberized or similar anti-slip solutions: it does a decent job for now with anti slip, but an even better job at collecting any odd speck of dust and debris and being a pain to clean while doing little to properly anchor the edges and corners, or keep the rug even without popping up in places without help. I will be looking for a replacement for it as a permanent under chair mat and relegate this thing to a temporary garage work surface then. Would not get again.
