I got this as a gift for a friend. It is expensive but quality pastels don’t come cheap. The colors are vibrant and are well packaged so they don’t come damaged.

Wonderfully crafted, these oil pastels are so rich and pigmented! They're so smooth and glide on paper! If you love oil pastels these are for you!

I had read a lot about these. They don’t disappoint. Great muted colours that should be complemented with a set containing darks and earth tones.

I really like this set, I find that this is a nice set for more detailed work because the sticks have some structure to them, and they don't melt as you use them. So they feel similar to Caran Darche Neo Pastels. The wrappings are very nice and the color numbers at the bottom are in sequence so that sorting them after use is a breeze. I like all the pastel tones as well.So the packaging, the wrappers and the abundance of light toned pastels are all pluses.I am a little disappointed that open stock is difficult. And I hope that they come out with a set with a few more browns and grays.

These pastels are good quality and I've enjoyed using them over the past few months I've had them. I love the selection of greens in this set as well as the blues. The only issue I have with these is the color range as I wish there was at least one more brown shade. It would be quite useful to have a medium-toned brown for painting trees and landscapes. Other than that little complaint, I think these are some of the best pastels with a semi-creamy texture. It's nice that they're a tad bit cheaper than Senneliers as their texture is a mix between creamy and firm, but not too smudgy.

These are wonderful! I bought these because I loved all of the super light tones but have falllen in love with them all. They are a medium soft, blend well, take layering and play well with my Mungyo and Sennilier. Not so much with Caran D'Ache tho. Would definitely buy again, and again.

This a wonderful set for artists that are looking for specific colors of oil pastels that you cannot find in other sets. The issue I see here is that some of the lighter colors are very transparent and seem to lack pigmentation. Along with this, there is no lightfastness rating that could indicate the permanency of the colors for the buyer. These pastels can be paired with more high quality brands like sennelier, caran d'ache, and holbein. If you are looking for pastel colors try mungyo, and for professional colors try holbein oil pastels which have a lot of light pastel colors with much more opacity and pigment. The texture of these oil pastels is crumbly and soft, it spreads well too. Sometimes you may come across streaky pigments, but this also happens a lot with sennelier.

These are complete range of pastel tones and well balance colors choices! They are opaque on black paper and th hey are less buttery than Sennelier, but creamier than Mungyo Gallery oil pastel! This box is a good complimentary of 72 Mungyo Gallery wooden box as well as with the 76 Neopastel from Caran d’Ache which are more waxy, but still opaque too! If you are an oil pastel lover you won’t be deceived with this set! The range of pastel colors are lovely done for portraits mostly, but still convenient for the impressionist style mostly! What a lovely oil pastel artist quality, and any others oil pastel sets can beat this singular set which is worthy every penny for the oil pastel frantic lover!
