I wanted something decorative to keep my fleur de sel in, and I am very pleased with this olive bowl. I was definitely taking a chance on what I would receive, but I got lucky and got a beautiful bowl. This is a small bowl, with a snug fitting lid, appropriate for sugar, or salt, or any small amount of condiment of that type. It makes using my salt, just a little more elegant!

I really like all of wood, and I’m always on the hunt for unique pieces. I needed something to hold sea salt flakes, and I wanted a lid that was removable and not hinged/swinging open. This is definitely the perfect size— if you cut your hand it fits nicely in there. It holds a good amount of salt.My issues with it are with the quality. The lid and the bowl have numbers written on them in pencil, I assume to make sure they match. But that could’ve been removed before selling it to a customer. Also the cut out of the lid was very sharp, and I had to take a little bit of sandpaper to it to soften the edges. It just felt like someone made it quickly and shipped it out without inspecting completely.

Tenía ganas de un salero decorativo y sencillo y este me lo parece. Es bastante grueso así que parece resistente. El acabado es perfecto, tanto el exterior como el interior están bien pulidos y suaves. Para mí tiene el tamaño perfecto.

This really is a beautiful wooden pot – it feels heavy and sturdy in your hands. It feels well made and of good quality – not to mention it is really beautiful as well.I am using it to hold sugar in – yes, it is a little small, but I live alone and do not entertain much so a small sugar bowl suits me fineThe wood is beautiful with wonderful grain and finely finished – the lid fits securely and matches the bowl nicely. Just another wonder conversation piece that is functional as well.I do wish it were a little larger – or that I could also get it in larger sizes – I would probably have a whole set of them!!

Disclaimer: I am NOT a Vine Reviewer.Intended use: an urn for my pet's ashesShipping: It was well wrapped in bubble wrap and was undamaged.Pro's: It is beautiful, the grain is similar to a burl, but there are straight grains that run through it. My son appreciated the beauty of the item when I gave it to him to place his dog's ashes in it. We had a Pomeranian so this was a suitable size for the ashes.Con's: the lid was a little loose, the inner edge was not the same diameter of the base opening so it wiggles about a little. However, a rubber band or o-ring around the lid edge would fix that easily--silicone caulk would too fit you wanted a more semi-permanent arrangement.Conclusion: I'm glad I bought it and recommend it for it's intended use or anything that you would want to store in such a container.

Although this salt cellar is a little smaller than I expected (my fault as the dimensions were listed, I just didn't imagine the size accurately :(!!) it is beautiful!! The wood looks rich and of high quality. It is very smooth and feels nice in your hand. It was a tiny bit washed out in color when I got it, but I had read the reviews on it before purchase and I knew that others had rubbed vegetable oil on it to "season" it so that's what I did and it really deepened the color and made it beautiful. I bought it as a gift so after I seasoned it I filled it with some homemade flavored salt and gave it away. The recipient loved it!!!

Habe die Dose Anfang Januar bestellt und nach nicht ganz 2 Wochen erhalten. Versandkosten nicht übertrieben, absolut sicher eingepackt.Diese schöne Dose ist samt Deckel aus einem Stück Holz gefertigt wodurch die Maserungen genau übereinander passen. Der Deckel wackelt nur ganz minimal wenn man es darauf anlegt.Ideal für Meersalz das schnell beim Kochen griffbereit sein soll. Bin sehr zufrieden!
