New dad here. Kiddo is nearly 8 months old now, has been in these cloth diapers for about 7 of those months. We tried the Gerber diapers recommended by Wirecutter, plus a few other brands and these hands down were the best. Bought a total of 7 packs which is probably more than we need (could have gotten away with 5-6 packs, just need to be diligent about wash days). These diapers are highly absorbent. Coupled with ‘booty love’ diaper ointment (olive oil based) our kiddo never had diaper rash even during those liquid poop months. We wash our diapers every 2-3 days. Here’s our process:1. Dump diapers and cloth wipes out of reusable diaper bag straight into washer. Don’t put reusable diaper bag in yet. Our kid was 100% breast fed for the first 6 months. Never rinsed the diapers before washing. Now that our kiddo is on a mix of breast milk and solid food, we use the GroVia diaper liners and they’re perfect.2. Dump about 1/2 to 1 cup bleach in to the washer, set washer to ‘pre-wash’. This takes our machine about 10 minutes. Hottest water setting ya got. If you’re nervous about bleach don’t be, but if you still are, you can use Oxy Clean, or just the hot water only. Just don’t skip the pre-wash step.3. Turn reusable diaper bag inside out while trying not to touch the inside. Dump into washer.4. Dump whatever detergent you use for your typical wash load in. Keep wash water temp to hottest setting. Start wash.5. Come back once load is done, hang dry reusable diaper bag. Throw diapers and wipes into dryer and set to highest/warmest setting. Our dryer takes about 90 minutes to get our diapers totally dry. But then again our dryer isn’t very efficient.6. Once dry, fold and put away.Other things to get:- The reusable diaper bags or hamper bags I mentioned. We do fine with just two.- GroVia diaper liners. They’re biodegradable and supposedly flushable BUT DO NOT FLUSH THEM. That’s asking for trouble.- Thirsties diaper covers. Lots of fun designs. We operate with about 5-6 but I think we could do it with 4-5. We wash these in regular laundry about 1 time per week.- Cloth Wipes. You’re already doing the laundry, why not save a little more money and generate a little less waste?- A separate diaper pail (we use the Ubbi one recommended by the Wirecutter website) for the diaper liners when there’s feces in them, and for disposable wipes and diapers. When our kid poops, we wipe with a couple disposable wipes, then with a cloth wipe. The disposables go in the ‘trash’ diaper pail.

These products have worked well and as expected. They were slightly smaller than I expected, but they work well in the pad fold. If you're wanting to do more elaborate folds with your diaper, choose a size bigger.

I have had these for over a year now. I like these better than the unbleached version (I have both). I wash it with regular free & clear detergent and I have even bleached them on occasion when they find their way into a pile of whites. They are easy to take care of and after over a year of constant washing they are still holding up great, so soft, and look like new. They are thick and absorbent as diapers (I have used them in a pinch) but I used them mainly as burp cloths for my reflux baby. She ended up always falling asleep with her head on them and now they are her "blankies". Be warned! These may become your kids favorite blanket! I am grateful they come in packs of 6. She takes her "blankies" everywhere so they get so filthy. And she needs a clean on in bed each night.

Let me start by saying that we do not cloth diaper. However, I was on a search for some burp cloths that would suit our needs. Our son had TERRIBLE reflux and spit up constantly. I tried many many other options for burp cloths, but they all were very small or not absorbent enough. I needed something with a lot of coverage and maximum absorption - these were the answer! When you first receive them, they seem HUGE but after a wash or two they shrink down to a nice size (similar to an 11x17 sheet of paper) and become super soft and fluffy. If you are using them as a burp cloth they cover your whole shoulder area and absorb very quickly and efficiently. They've held up over many many many washes, and we are using them now with our second child as burp cloths.A few things I've noticed that are annoying - they take forever and a day to dry. I feel like I keep them in the dryer for a long time and they still feel damp sometimes. I've hung them up sometimes to continue drying just so I'm not running the dryer for too long. Watch out that you make sure they are COMPLETELY dry before putting them in a drawer though - I must have had one that was still a bit damp and got some mold spots on it.Overall these are a great option for burp cloths, if that's what you intend to use them for (I'm sure they work great as diapers, however I cannot attest to that since we haven't used them as diapers).

I bought these size 1 diapers to use as burp cloths, so I can't comment on their performance for their actual purpose. I originally bought the OsoCozy Size 2 diapers, which are also great. I thought those were slightly on the large side as burp cloths, so I decided to try these. These ended up being quite small for their intended purpose. I'd say after washing they shrunk to slightly under 11x14. They still work and are super thick and absorbent, but I'd probably prefer the Size 2 diapers for greater coverage, even though those seem gigantic in comparison. They are much better than the Gerber 6 ply premium cloth diapers, since the layers are thick on each third of the diaper and not just down the middle. The only issue I have is that they take quite a long time to dry. Even after 70 minutes in the dryer on low heat, they tend to still be a little damp. Other than that, they have served their purpose as burp cloths very well, and other than the size of these, I have no complaints about their construction, quality, or the brand in general.
