Bought this for doing upper and lower ball joints on a 2000 Wrangler TJand it made the job very easy. I rented the press from Auto Zone to use these with. This set also made installing new front axle u-joints a breeze compared to the old method (you know the one).

You will need to tap the bottom joint out the rest of the way out as it will bottom out in cup. Worked fine on teraflex hd balljoints jeep jku

Worked a treat to do the ball joints on my dana 30 2013 JK Wrangler.Be careful installing the new upper joint with the tapered spacer, it likes to slide out of position on the C due to the curvature, causing a gouge on one of my teraflex upper ball joint tapers. Fixed with a file, but something worth avoiding.Make sure it stays centered

After a lot of thought I purchased this item. I have watched several people change ball joints with a regular set of ball joint separator cups and they manage to get them pressed in straight but, with a lot of improvisation and self risk.I have never changed a ball joint before and I didn't want any trouble. This set of cups was perfect. I pressed out the old and pressed in the new on both driver and passenger side in a little over an hour.Well worth the money and they are good quality. If you have aftermarket ball joints they are about half an inch to long for the cup. OEM ball joints are not to long for the cup.

These were fantastic & mated perfectly to the kit. Just make sure to use the adapters correctly. I tried to use the notched one flipped 180 degrees and took a little metal off it but it still works like a champ! I'm very happy with the product

I have had to replace ball joints three times; twice on a 1997 TJ and once on a 2006. During the first two times, I rented a ball joint press from an automotive shop and was able to get the job done but it wasn't easy and it took forever. When it came time to replace the ball joints on my daily driver TJ, I decided to pull the trigger on a ball joint press. Between the OTC ball joint press and the above adapter, it made the removal and installation significantly easier due to the exact fitment on the balljoint and it's insertion point. Although expensive, I found it made things much, much, easier and worth the price.

This kit work prety good on Jeep JK. You also need to have the OTC 7249 as you need some universal cups. The #313970 cup does provide the proper angle for the upper JK ball joint. I no longer need to add washers to get the proper angle.

This kit makes changing your Jeeps ball joints a breeze. I used this adapter kit along with the OTC press, and it worked perfectly. I've used this on many joints, including my Jeep YJ and TJ, and my son's 89' Cherokee. IDK if it's JK or JU compatible. This kit is crazy expensive for what you get, but if your labor time is money, it's worth it.It comes with a single paper sheet instructions, and the kit's parts are etched with part numbers to make using the correct adapter quick and simple. And the adapters all fit into the OTC press's carrying case. Which is a nice touch.

Without this kit my standard ball press kit was making it very difficult to break the ball joint loose. Once I got these adapters I had the ball joint off in seconds. I highly recommend if you have a XJ or TJ (most likely works on other but haven't personally tested)

If you have the OTC ball joint installation and removal tool kit and you plan to replace ball joints on a Wrangler (in our case 05 Rubicon) these are a must have! They fit perfectly and made the job easy! We removed the “original” ball joints and installed new ones in an hour! Both upper and lower! Well worth the money, just do it, glad I did. I’ve done my other Jeep ball joints without these in the past......not good......

I have an 07 Jeep Wrangler which is one of the vehicles that this kit is for. Trouble is that the part with the notch cut out (the largest piece) isn't deep enough for use with a stock ball joint as their own instructions describe. Plus it is made out of material that is too thin-walled so the inside diameter is too wide. This allows it to slip off the ball joint lip as it is being pressed into place. When I buy a special tool that is designed for use with my vehicle, I would expect it to work. Got to wonder if they ever actually tried it before they said it fits.EDIT: I have been informed that this kit is not designed for the JK Wrangler (mine is a Rubicon but the BJs should be the same as Sport and X models) and Amazon's description is/was at fault. I don't know for sure how to both inform others of this and review a product that I've never been able to use in accordance with its design. OTC is an excellent company, and based upon other reviews, I suspect that this kit is likewise great. So I'm speculating by upgrading my 2 star review to a 5 star one. But JK owners beware...this kit doesn't work well on your Jeeps regardless of what Amazon's description says.
