About this item

  • Elegant with safety features no other commercial umbrella stand has: business owners say they choose our patented design for their patios, decks, and poolsides because of how our wheel-enclosures prevent direct contact with wheels while rolling, and how our easy-to-use wheel locks keep umbrellas in place; plus, our 3 decor-matching colors with softly rounded corners and non-marking wheels, give them a proven and elegant umbrella Base that others simply cannot copy
  • Up to 125 lbs. of safety & stability: Our heavy duty patio umbrella Base features a patented Compartment that lets you add your own bricks, pebbles, or sand giving you a weighted base from 95lbs up to a super-stable 125lb Base, so you can enjoy added peace of mind without the clunky cement bases, or shifty water filled bases that crack and leak
  • Stability Base for Large Umbrellas: Unlike cheaper brands, your Shademobile has a self-centering receiver (so no sloppy swaying and leaning like with 'California' designs); Simply select the reducer that fits your 1-3/8-inch to 2-1/16-inch diameter pole, and secure your umbrella - Customers are using this on their 11’ foot and larger umbrellas (Note - not designed for use with Cantilever or Offset Umbrellas)
  • Frustration-Free & USA-Made Quality: Our patented design is made by hard-working Americans who start with over 20lbs of aerospace-quality resin to craft a base that shrugs off weather and sprays clean, then they ship each base with commercial-grade hardware and step-by-step instructions, so you can enjoy fast and frustration-free setup without calls to the handyman

Very sturdy build. Looks great. Filled ours with pea gravel. Just right for our new 9 foot Umbrella on our deck. Our summers have gotten warmer and sunnier over the last few years here in the Northwest. It's also been quite unexpectedly breezy lately. We wanted a base for our new umbrella that we could trust, (since the first base we purchased quickly proved itself to be quite untrustworthy. :-) I am very happy to say that this is the one we chose. It seems very solid. It rolls on our composite deck easily, leaving no marks. The brakes work great. Have not had a single problem since we installed this under our umbrella. Assembly was easy. 2 bags of pea gravel from our local home store keeps it very stable on our deck, open or closed, and we've experienced winds up to 15mph (with the umbrella open), so far. The umbrella just rides it out. It also appears to be built to last. Well made.Great umbrella base for our purposes. Very happy. Highly recommend.

Very easy to assemble. Works great on my deck. Very easy to move it as the sun moves. Very happy with this product. Worth the price.

We have a large wood balcony with two umbrella's to keep the sun off of our sitting areas. We also have a jacuzzi. What we really needed was a gazebo given how hot it gets in Southern Ontario. However, a gazebo would block the stars at night, which is unfathomable. Having sturdy moving umbrellas is THE BEST. We did the heaviest filling, given it's a balcony and can catch some wind. It does take a little bit of muscle to get them to start rolling, but once they start they are very easy to move and very sturdy. I am very very pleased with my purchase. I bought 1 to start to make sure they were worth the cost. They are! I purchased the second one last week and got it set up on the weekend. I'm so happy with this solution.

I bought my first shademobile 9 years ago and my second a year later. I added a photo of them after all those years out constantly in the Georgia sun. They still look great and work perfectly. When you buy this product you will get a letter from the inventor telling you that he believes in quality over quantity and let me tell you that is completely evident when you see the superb quality of this product. These are not cheap plastic but some kind of quality resin and how they don't fade out completely and become dry and brittle in the sun still amazes me. I just bought four more in black this time. I wanted to purchase directly from the company website and was so disappointed to learn due to a nationwide resin shortage they are out of stock and don't know for sure when production will resume again. I saw these on amazon and called the company to see if the product that I saw was authentic. I wanted nothing other than the superb quality of the product I purchased many years ago. I was amazed to get a real person who spoke English answered the phone on the first ring and was so pleasant and helpful. The person I spoke with told me what they were selling on amazon was indeed authentic and would be the same quality product I expected. The prices on Amazon are inflated due to the hold on production. That left me with a choice either wait for production to begin again or pay the inflated price on amazon. I choose to purchase from amazon because I needed them now but never once considered buying anything else even though there are cheaper versions of rolling umbrella bases available. The quality of the product I recieved was in fact the same superb quality as the product I bought 9 years ago. I truly believe from how the two I purchased previously have held up this product will last a lifetime. If you are worried about the stability of this product or worried about a gust of wind blowing them in your pool like I was don't. They are amazingly stable. One time I knew I had left the umbrellas up with the wheels not locked and close to the edge of my pool. A thunderstorm rolled in carrying 60 mile an hour winds. I was sure when I got home I would find them on the bottom of my pool but they had not moved. The fact that my umbrellas where tiered probably helped that day and I suggested buying a tiered umbrella if these will be close to you pool. I don't worry at all now with the wheels locked on a level surface these bases filled with bricks and sand like suggested in the 125# method aren't going anywhere short of some crazy powerful winds. They are a little harder to roll if you use the 125# method but easy enough still and easy to roll was not my goal since they sit so close to my pool. I would also suggest the marine screws pack available on the company website if you have a saltwater pool like I do because the screws that hold the part the umbrella sits in did rust through and I had to replace them a few years ago. This is a made in America small business that has never sacrificed quality for profit and supporting them makes me feel awesome also.

This is going to be a great solution for my north facing upper deck, and 11' market umbrella in a windy location. Going with the heaviest option, I filled this stand with 12 bricks and "traction" sand. I wasn't sure I'd be able to flip it over once it was full, but I got it together in about 40 minutes, without any assistance. I love that it is wheeled so I can move it around, and it is made from a sturdy plastic that I think will hold up to Canadian conditions. It's windy today, already I can tell that this is a much better stand for this umbrella than the one I had, it is way more stable, and I'm sure it will be the last stand I ever need to purchase. Wish I had found it in the first place.

Love this umbrella stand. We have a large concrete slab patio adjacent to our trailer cottage and this stand made it easy to move the umbrella to follow the sun throughout the day. We filled the base with pea gravel which provided good stability.

Easy to assemble. Easy to line with bricks to give the 90 lb weight. rolls great on cement pad. Locking wheels holds it steady and even with pretty good wind gusts, sturdy base. The umbrella looked like it was going to break before the base looked like it was going to tip.

I've had the Shademobile Rolling Umbrella Base in bronze for twenty two months now and I love it. It still looks new. We filled it with Home Depot bricks to make it more stable. I love the fact that it's made of a maintenance free material - poly-something, that is made in the USA. The only maintenance I do is once in a while I wipe it off with a sponge to remove dust and spray the wheels and brakes with a silicone spray. The fact that it rolls on four wheels is priceless when you don't want bend down or strain your back moving your umbrella with the sun. The only annoyance I can report is sometimes the wheels get temporarily snagged on an uneven patio tile. No big deal, it is maneuverable over the bump. (Anyone with a smooth deck or patio surface will have flawless movement.) Two of the four wheels have a "step on" locking feature to act like a brake. Again, such a nice feature because you don't have to bend down. I'm so pleased with the ease and performance of this Shademobile umbrella base we're getting a second one to replace a perfectly useable but different granite umbrella base. Originally I just couldn't justify spending more money when we had something else that was still useable. But now having lived with the alternative, I've come to actively dislike the heavy, barely moveable granite based umbrella. Life is too short to struggle when you're trying to relax.
