This PFD was the go-to for my kid who is about 70lbs. Great for kayaking and SUP. Doesn't restrain motion and does a great job of keeping the person afloat. We tested it close to shore to make sure it would do the job when needed, and it passed the test. I wouldn't think this is approved for boating as it isn't a life preserver. Great for other activities though.

These are the best life jackets for kids. The crotch belt keeps it from riding up around their face (which they hate) and the thin shoulder straps make it feel less bulky.

Ordered this for my son who is too large for paddle pals life jackets. The M is perfect for my 65 pound little guy. The jackets fastens with ease, e never needs my assistance. You simply zip it up, tighten at the shoulders, waist, and under the groin until it is to your liking. Like most life vests, it does rise, and make you look like a floating head in the water; the strap going between your legs helps with the rise, but it does give you quite the wedgie. Walmart sells similar life jackets for less, but they are not nearly s lightweight as this vest. For $59,99 the life jacket is super lightweight, fastens well, made well and dries so quickly. I recommend! The jacket is offered in 3 colors and has reflector strips on it so this can be used at dusk or in the evening if preferred.

Super-Thin & Lightweight children's life jacket, the size is just right, my son (130CM) can wear it, it is a little big, but it will fit better when he grows up a year. This life jacket is really thin and light, especially suitable for playing sup, without too much restraint. There are adjustable straps on the fan and waist. The color is very beautiful, the front is fixed with a zipper and button, and there is a reflective strip design in the middle of the clothes.

M - Youth Nylon Swim Jacket for kids for kayaking and water sports. Great jacket for kayaking as it has unrestricted motion at the shoulders. The vest comes with a user manual with instructions in multiple languages, however the chart is confusing and level of buoyancy being 70 isn't explained.There is a circumferential elastic at the bottom of the vest which protects from water seeping in. There are a number of straps that can be adjusted, with adjustable waist, shoulder (for height) and groin straps. The overall jacket has 3 thick layers of foam at the front and 2 at the back to prevent floating face down. Plastic zipper that is corrosion resistant. Quick-dry, water repellant nylon material, has reflective stripes at the front for night/dark detection. This vest is aimed at kids weighing 25-40 kg (55-88 lbs) approx. 6-12 year olds.
