These worked well enough. I’ve compared them to the deck manufacturers brand and they are not as sturdy, so you have to be a little more gentle when you’re screwing them down. But it is definitely worth the cost to save a ton of money, especially if you’re building a large deck,

I tried this hidden fastener (the TPU version) for a couple of rows of Trex natural enhance composite boards and gave up very quickly. Since the deck joists can't be set up to be perfectly level everywhere, and most of composite deck boards are also not completely straight, some force will always be needed in order to force a board into position and achieve the correct gap width. For that reason, the clip must have enough stiffness to withstand such force without distortion. Unfortunately, this clip is too soft and does not work.

I finally got around to re-doing our deck, and this box of fasteners was perfect to make a neat finish, and I like that they will make future repairs easier and smaller in scale. It looks professional to not have screw holes anywhere visible on the wood. You get a hefty box with 500 spacers and screws, I used almost the entire box on a medium sized deck but have some left. It does take some care using these, the main thing is to drill gently, don't drive these in too hard. I ended up switching back to a weaker drill to get fine control. But once you get the hang of working with these, they're easy and give you consistent spacing. You should also not have to worry about water or ice damage with these, making this perfect if you live in the northern states. I'm very happy with the results and neat look of the deck. If you are making or repairing a deck, this seems like a good system to invest in.

It's okay, but not made with the best materials

Building large TimberTech composite deck on PT joists. Decided to try these inexpensive fastener clips, using about 100 of them in my initial evaluation.Problem #1: screws use square drive, known to strip out easily in high torque situations.#2: screws supplied seem to be somewhat soft alloy, exacerbating the strip out issue.#3: screw heads are wider than the gap formed by the clip, causing the screw head to abrade the board edges on the way in.#4: a few screw heads actually twisted off; very difficult to remove the shaft.#5: the plastic clips are semi-soft, so when using enough torque to drive into joist you can't easily tell when the screw head is seated in the clip, leading to many screws going in too far into the clip and increasing the gap between boards.#6: the wings of the clip are much thinner than the normal board edge groove, making for a wobbly fit and easy to drive in at an angle. After a half dozen boards, and about 25~30 striped out screws, I decided this product does not work for me. I was able to back out about half of the screws. I litteraly had to destroy the Koorf clips by popping up the boards with a board puller tool (Crescent bull bar, what a life saver) to unmount the boards so I could remove the stripped screws with a Vice-Grip plier. I decided to skip cheap fasteners going forward, and am switching to CAMO fasteners.

If there is any resistance when when attaching the clip, the square head in the screw will shred into an oval you can't remove. I had this happen on 4 out of 9 screws and since the screws are between the boards its extremely difficult to remove them.
