Product Description

PC-11 was formulated as a true marine epoxy, allowing users to bond to wet, dry and fully submerged substrates. PC-11 formulation provides extended working time, for large and critical jobs, which allows the user to reposition work or make changes. High "wet grab" or tack of PC-11 makes overhead and sidewall work easy without drip or sag. PC-11 demonstrates excellent chemical resistance to mild acids, caustics, detergents, gasoline, fuel oil, salt, and fresh water. In cold or cool temperatures, place PC-11 containers near heat prior to using. PC-11 mixes and spreads easier at 80 degree F than at 40 degree F. Any clean smooth flat surface is an excellent surface for mixing and working. A small putty knife or flexible artist spatula are great tools for mixing and applying PC-11. Denatured alcohol is excellent for smoothing applied PC-11. Also use Denatured alcohol to clean surfaces before applying. Use with: wood, metal (all types), glass, brick, block, rubber, concrete, stone, slate, fiberglass, tile, and more in any and all combinations; as sealant: oil, gas, water tanks, cellar cracks, pressure tanks, and plumbing leaks; as a filler: holes, castings, patterns, molds, voids, welds, and much more. Work time (70 degree F): 30-40 minutes. Tack free cure time: 90 minutes. Cure for service: 8-12 hours. Maximum cure: 7 day. Gardner impact resistance: 140in./lb. Conduction (electric): non conductive. Excellent thermal shock. Non toxic once cured. Heat range: -20 to 200 degree F.

I rebuilt my skimmer for the pool using this. It applies like marshmallow fluff and stays pliable for 30 -40 minutes. Dries nice and solid!

A tongue depresser is not strong enough to mix part A and B, but can be used to transfer the product onto a cardboard mixing pad. Plastic disposable spatulas can be used to properly mix the pastes if you use it like a snow shovel and scrape each paste from the cardboard. I found it difficult to apply because it is so sticky but will stay where you place it. I used painters, tape along the margins to make nice clean lines of application. I might have spent 1-2 minutes mixing and finished my application within 5 minutes from the start of the mixing. By that time, application was becoming difficult in the shady 55° environment. The total volume of the mixed paste A and B was smaller than of a tennis ball. Great product.

Sets up quickly so work in small batches. Takes a couple of days to get really hard. Be very careful to mix very VERY thoroughly. Adhesion and prefomance effected by thoroughness of mixing. I suggest mixing with stainless steel putty knives and scraping one against the other to get all the parts mixed thoroughly. With the white it is difficult to judge just how fully you have mixed the parts. If you also get a can of the black, the two parts are black and white, so you can see how much mixing is needed for consistent gray color.Very similar to MarineTex. Mixing is the key. BUT you have to mix fast and apply fast, because after a short while the work-ability goes down. Fill fine cracks first, and have blob jobs to use up the excess.

This is a really thick product so you will build your arms up mixing it. But the thickness is good as it won't sag on a vertical surface. I used it to patch up a deteriorating piece in a concrete fountain and it looks like this is the perfect product for that. It doesn't sag, sticks like h*ll, and sets hard. Although the can says 30 minute work time, it really needs about 24 hours to fully set hard. I used a clean 8 oz metal food can for mixing (don't use a plastic cup unless you're mixing a very small amount - it will break when mixing). I highly recommend using disposable nitrile gloves as this tends to get on your hands during mixing. It can be cleaned off tools fairly easily with a paper towel and denatured alcohol.

Stuff in each can is super sticky -- quite hard to stir by hand in any sizable amount. I used a DREMEL and ahomemade tool to mix and stir. Do by hand crude mix then use a spinning tool .Small quantities mix up OK. Trying to mix halfa can with half a can would be a challenge.Applies thick after mixing. Very strong after cure. Kinda outside use only. I am gonna use it on bird baths, concrete, andthe like. Thick and stays in place well. Not for delicate small repairs. Glad I have some sitting there waiting to beused. .......... Like it - - don't love it.

Not a terrible product, but this is definitely NOT big cans of your normal "JB weld" like you'd expect. It's this really grainy paste that's absurdly hard to mix. I will say the final product was quite adequate, and survived a couple runs on the lake.

Tres bon produit

The product was not what I thought it was, but it is an epoxy based BONDO type filler that looks like it will do well as a sub-base to the inside of my wet area of my swamp cooler in the corners and to smooth out the laps and seams. The ad makes it appear to be a coating material but it is a 2 part paste product that has about 30 minutes of working time at 90 degrees temp. Once hardened after 24 hours, it can be sanded with a electric sander or by hand sanding with no build-up or smearing. It appears to have some limited flexibility once cured, I would recommend this product as lomg as the end user understands that this coating is NOT a two part epoxy paint. But the way finished off the inside of the cooler with bed liner paint.
