Material is pretty thin but durable. The waist is slot smaller than what I was expecting but it has the elastic so I'm hoping it won't be too uncomfortable for my son. He wears a size 12 months in his pants right now & we're using it for a Mickey Mouse outfit. The red isn't as bright as I was hoping but still a good color.**UPDATE** my son wore it for an hour photoshoot and the seams started to come apart. :(
