Our cat is stubborn (go figure... he's a cat) and insists on drinking from the bathroom tap. We tried putting a stop to that but he refused to drink from his last fountain. This is the 4th style of fountain we bought and he seems quite content drinking from it. I think the fact that he doesn't have to stick his head under it to get water because it is more like a bubbling brook.I have also found that it is very easy to clean as it is ceramic and consists of only 2 pieces and a pump. It also looks nicer than the other fountains we have had.We are very pleased with this purchase.

The porcelain is a nice look and better than plastic in my opinion. It looks nicer in a room than a metal fountain, and the cats like the water streams (although they don't come too far out from the main base). Only complaint is that the trickling sound is pretty loud compared to other fountains, the water is just very splashy. And the replacement filters are overpriced. Hopefully the pump/motor lasts for a long time as that seems to be the first thing to break in these things.

As far as I'm concerned, this is the best cat water fountain on the market. Porcelain is easy to clean and all the cats drink from it. I clean it once a week. Excellent product.

We have a mischevious cat that dismantled every other water fountain. This is the only one that he leaves alone! All the cats enjoy drinking from the fountain part. We did have 2 in operation...it was a little too noisy with 2. One is acceptable though!

For those of you who didn’t know, cats have bacteria in their mouths that will get into the water. That means you’ll have to constantly change stagnant water bowls every 2-3 days. I’ve owned/babysat many cats and the majority of them will refuse to drink until it is cleaned. I used standard bowls in the past and cleaning was extremely tedious. I had used plastic bowls and there was always a slimy film that built up so I had to scrub multiple times until it was clean. Furthermore, you don’t want to dehydrate cats as that may lead to medical issues with their kidneys(?). Idk there is some medical condition where if they don’t get enough water it can cause issues long term.Suffice it to say, the price is well worth it, the double filter option works great, and the water provides a calming background noise. It’s not completely silent, so if you get annoyed by any sound, don’t get this. If you don’t mind a very low white noise, then this is perfect. We clean the bowl every 3 weeks by putting it in the dishwasher. The pump and filter assembly is incredibly easy to assemble and disassemble. Lastly, the square design butts up nicely against furniture. Also, our kitten has learned to drink from the top of the fountain assembly, so you don’t have to worry about the dimensions, or if your cat/kitten is too smol. We currently have one kitten, but the omnidirectional design shouldn’t be an issue for multiple cats either. I have zero complaints about the fountain, the lack of constant cleaning is a huge plus, and our furry little bastard drinks water on the regular. Plus, the color and design is actually quite trendy compared to other water bowls

Totally worth it. My cat loves it and she’s definitely drinking more water now than she was before.It does have a water noise, but that’s not a problem for me.Also, they have an amazing customer service!

I am extremely pleased with the PetSafe Pagoda cat fountain (with two caveats)! It is surprisingly well crafted and designed. The blue color was as shown, very consistent all over and the fountain as a whole looks much nicer in my home than any I’ve had previously.The ceramic is unbelievably easier to clean than plastic, I’ll never go back, and It keeps the water cool much longer. (Note- the fountain does not have a mechanism for temperature adjustment, but the ceramic keeps the cold water I pour in colder for longer than plastic). The fountain’s design with two separate water pooling areas give my weird cats plenty of options of where to drink from which encourages more consumption.Thanks to the extra weight of the ceramic fountain and its solid design, it has not tipped nor budged despite one cat that is a digger (as if he’s searching for clean water at the edge of a muddy pond on the Savanna) and another that loves frolicking in water (as if nobody ever told him he is actually a house cat and not a darn duck).I do have two comments for people considering this purchase, yet neither are complaints as far as I’m concerned.First, while the pump is indeed almost silent, the flowing water is not. This really is a “fountain” therefore the falling water sounds like... well... a fountain. If you don’t want to hear the gentle sound of water day in and day out then you may want to consider a different PetSafe product. I, however, completely enjoy the sound and understand it’s a side effect of the outstanding water recycling and oxygenation.Secondly, it is very simple to assemble and clean, after you’ve done it once or twice. I rarely need to look at the instructions for an item, but when I unboxed this fountain (which was very well packaged, by the way) I was a bit baffled. The instructions were clear and after putting it together I admittedly felt a bit silly. I reviewed the instructions the first time I cleaned the pump, but that too was very straight forward. This is the first fountain I’ve had with a pump designed to be disassembled and cleaned and now I’m wondering why they aren’t all like this.In conclusion, and if you’ve made it this far surely you’re glad its wrapping up, I am extremely pleased with the PetSafe Pagoda Fountain and will order another as my cats now refuse all other water sources.
