I ordered this 2 pack which arrived just before I left before vacation. I threw one in my luggage to store small documents and valuables while away. When I arrived and went to set this up the hinge weld or whatever it is that is supposed to hold the hinge on was disconnected rendering it basically useless. Since you could get in at the hinge end. When I got home the other one seemed ok but not sure how well the hinge will hold moving forward

I was looking for a small lock box for my truck. I did not want to spend a lot of money or permanently mount something to the chassis. This box looked like a reasonable alternative. I opted for the combination lock to avoid the need for carrying another key.The box is a medium grade stamped steel clam shell design. It is foam lined and comes with a security cable. The lock is a 3-digit combination which you set from the inside with a selection lever. It is durable enough to not be crushed when you put a lot of weight on it, and it would take considerable force to pry it open. It comes with screws and anchors if you did want to mount it to a secure surface in a vehicle or building. They are light duty, and I would use something a bit heavier to mount it.I would not consider this to be a high end safe, but I would consider this an effective deterrent to criminals looking for a quick grab from a vehicle. So if you need basic protection, I think this is a reasonable solution. I have mine cabled to a seat post, and it slide nicely underneath. I can access it easily, and it will hold small valuables, money, or a concealed carry handgun. You could not use it for cameras or binoculars or larger items.

To put my hand guns in, so children can not excess them. I could not beat the price and it was value for my money. I wanted extra security for my guns and children.
