Holy cow, much bigger than I expected. I'd recommend getting your tape measure out before buying and seeing if this is what you really want. That said, I'm keeping it, going to replace the tool box I keep on the boat.

I saw that some other people had good experience with the water resistance for this dry box. We Absolutely Didn't!!! Water got in almost as if there was no protection whatsoever. We were very disappointed, especially since we were about to leave on a trip. Ended up using 2 old ammo cans which (luckily enough) we happened to have on hand.

Hello summer! I have a casual outdoor kitchen that I use daily [ simple table top Grill and propane cooktop-oven combo] so this was perfect to keep my oven mitts, lighter, supplies, spices salt and pepper , olive oil, and 6 bottles of sauces for the grill so handy outdoors! I even hid a little Deep Eddys Peach in the bottom! I need to find rim sugars too! Prevents having to run back and forth to the kitchen indoors, surprisingly spacious. My guests were so impressed they want one too! Most definitely ordering these as gifts for Father’s Day.

I was looking for a container suitable to organize my home medical supplies and first aid. That this case happens to be water-resistant is an unexpected bonus. It seems very sturdy. The insert tray is large enough to hold many of the items I would access more frequently. The bottom of the case is deep enough to hold boxes of gloves and bandages. There is also a recessed compartment on the lid that turned out to be useful as well. I can purchase much smaller and flimsier cases at a higher price, but why would I want to do that?

The Plano Extra Large Dry Storage Box with Tray makes a good salt water pier/surf fishing tackle box. It's big. Has a very large main storage area with a lift out tray - like a deep tool box with a tool tray. A small lid storage area allows for quick and easy access for additional rigging and change out lures/weights. Like the orange color because it is easy to see and find while moving up and down - along with the orange HD 5 gallon buckets I also use - on the pier or surf.This is a sealed storage box with a rubber "0-ring" around the perimeter of the larger storage area - much like a very large plastic ammunition storage box. More importantly for surf/pier fishing uses it will help prevent salt water, sand and dirt from getting into the tackle box. I have used other specifically designed tackle boxes and trays on the pier/surf but had problems with sand, dirt and salt water getting in the tackle, tools and line I bring to fish. Makes for a longer term mess especially with salt water corrosion eventually rusting/staining even stainless steel equipment.I would not recommend this unit as a tool box or for storing and transporting heavier items - not sure it could handle the weight of a set of tools you could put in it. The main box is big. It seems sturdy enough for tackle and a few tools like pliers etc but not as a tool box. Does not appear to be sturdy enough for this heavier use and abuse.Highly recommended as a large tackle box or other similar lighter weight/abuse uses.

Pedí dos de estas cajas y me parece un buen productoEn su interior cuenta con unos canales para una división, sin embargo no la incluye.Le pongo 3 estrellas porque una de las cajas no incluía el hule que llevan en la tapa para un cierre hermético.En mi opinión es un tema grave vender productos incompletos.

I bought this box to keep on my boat and hold all of the emergency supplies.The bottom is big enough to keep a few quarts of spare fluids, like motor oil and gear lube. The top tray is large enough to hold some flares and spare parts, and the compartment in the lid does a good job of all the smaller items like fuses and zip ties.It seems like a quality product, and the gasket seems to keep things dry. Recommended.

I would give this box 5 stars if it had come with the gasket (O-ring seal). I called Plano customer service (phone number on the label) and they indeed stated there should have been a gasket. They are mailing one out to me. I hope they follow through, as internet returns are a bit of a hassle, even though Amazon tries to make it as painless as possible.The box is large and roomy with a tray and a lid cubby. Seems solid, and lid closure system secure. Sturdy handle. If the gasket has a good seal when I get it and install it, I would rate it 5 stars. Mistakes happen. I applaud Plano for putting their phone number on the label so this omission can be remedied at low cost to everyone.Followup: Plano sent the missing gasket as promised. Makes the box water tight under the hinged cover. Excellent box - roomy, solid, nice handle. It's our "boat box" with emergency gear, registrations, and the like. We grab it and go!

This dry box is made of really thin plastic and seems real cheap. The side walls flex with the slightest pressure and the buckle that holds the hinged lid on is very thin and taking all the weight of what ever is in the box and I feel like I'm going to break it. Also I had no idea when I bought this there are two thick channels of plastic that look like they are there for dividers that don't even come with the product. I did not want dividers and the channels are in the way of putting anything large in this dry box. On Plano's website they claim this box is 17.00" x 10.38" 13.00" which is correct but a little deceiving. The smallest internal measurements are 13.5W x 7.5D x 10.75H. I have 2x 35AH AGM battery's to go in this box that measure 7.75W x 5H x 6.75D, do you think they will fit? NOPE. and even putting one in there the battery sits on the plastic channel on the floor of the case so I would worry it would puncture a hole in my battery. Total fail. On to the next box...
