A.POWER STATUS LED

This bio-color LED glows green when power ison and no problems are present. If one of theprotection circuit comes on, it will change to red.

B.PHASE SHIFT

Use this switch to help compensate for timealignment problems in the system. Suchproblems usually result from having thesubwoofer at a different distance from thelistener than the other speakers in the system.

C.AUTO POWER ON

The AUTO POWER ON(ON/OFF) is for highlevel(speaker-level) connections. When the switch is in the "ON" position, the subwoofer AUTO POWER ON when there is signal input[f the amplifier detected no signal input, the amplifier will auto turn off. If you prefer to usethe remote turn on/off onnection the switch is in the OFF position.

(Note: Please connect the remote terminalto the remote output of head unit as Fig.4. When you hear the unit turn ON/OFFPOP noise from the subwoofer.)

D.LOW PASS FILTER

This control permits you adjust the frequencyrange you want the subwoofer amplifier to receive. The subwoofer will reproduce all sound BELOW the frequency you set.

(Note: The low pass filter frequency can behigher or lower than the standard. Therehave +/-20% tolerance.)

E.BASS BOOST

The BASS BOOST feature will increase the

sound level in the bass frequencies.

F.INPUT GAIN CONTROL

After you have installed your system, turn thiscontrol to minimum.

Turn the head unit on (and the subwoofer willturn on via the remote connection). Turn thehead unit volume to about 2/3 full level.

Slowly turn up the subwooferinput gain controluntil you hear a small amount of distrotion.Then reduce the level until the distortion is

completely gone. Level the control at this setting

G.REMOTE LEVEL CONTROL

Attach the included remote level control to control the volume level of the subwooferindependently.

H.HIGH LEVEL(speaker low)INPUTSIf your head unit does not have RCA outputsyou can use the speaker outputs for the audiosource for the subwoofer. Use the suppliedcable and wire harness and connect theoutputs properly as shown in the connectiondiagram in this manual

I.LOW LEVEL RCA INPUTS

Low level inputs are the recommended way to introduce the audio signal to the subwooferif RCA outputs are present on your head unit or other signal source (such as a sound processor).

J.FuSE

Do not use a fuse with a different valueand NEVER replace the fuse with a wireor coin.

Low LevelInput Wiring

Low-level (RCA) input wiring is preferred for best audio performance. Most trunkor hatchback installations will require a 15-20 feet RCA cable, while pick up trucksand under-seat installations will require a 6-12 feet RCA cable. Always use ahigh quality cable.

NOTE:Do not connect BOTH the high level and low level inputs fromyour receiver to your amplifier at the same time

The high level input(s) should only be used when your receiver lacks RCA outputs.If the RCA outputs are not present, connect the speaker outputs from the receiverto the high level input connector of the amplifier, Be sure to observe polarity toavoid audio phase problems.

Power Connections

Connect the ground terminal to the closest point on the chassis of the vehicle. Keepthis ground wire to less than 39" (100 cm) in length. Use 8 gauge(or heavier) wire.

Connect the remote terminal to the remote output of head unit using 16 gauge ( orheavier ) wire.

Connect an empty fuse holder within 18" (45 cm) of the car battery, and run 8 gauge(or heavier) cable from this fuse to the amplifier location. Then connect the fuseholder to the "BATT+"(+12V) connection on the subwoofer rear panel.

Installed in a regular cab silverado between the front seats facing up towards the roof. I used the rca low pass input for the audio. Sounds good, plenty lf bass. Its not going to rattle your cab apart but it add a great amount to bass to all kinds of music. Its built really well all metal case very solid.

Great little sub with a built in amp for a good price (less than $80). Fit perfectly under the driver seat. An easy install. Tapped into the rear speaker wires located in the the b-pillar using t-tap connectors. Also ordered the "BOSS Audio Systems KIT2 8 Gauge Complete Car Amplifier Installation Wiring Kit". Didn't need everything in the kit, but it's a good deal. Ran the power cable through the firewall to the battery and viola! Took about an hour. Now my stock stereo system sounds amazing! Highly recommended if you are looking to add depth and bass to your sound system.

The instructions were not needed, but were very clear and easy to follow. Everything works as intended, but the sub is definitely pretty quiet, almost hard to distinguish from the sound of my door speakers even with the gain cranked up. For the price, no complaints. But I would probably look into spending the extra money for an underseat unit with more punch.
