I bought this tenderizer to go on my KitchenAid mixer because I processed my own deer and it worked just fine

This is made out of the stainless steel so it makes it very strong, it tenderizes the meat and it's well worth the purchase.

I cook a lot of flank steak and was excited to find something that would take the place of manually tenderizing. The attachment fit my existing blender so seemed like a great deal. Upon arrival, the tenderizer was obviously built well and was advertised as dishwasher safe. Things were looking good. I purchased a flank steak for a trial run. First issue was that meat can only be maximum of 6" wide. I cut my steak in half to fit. Second issue was that my flank steak was too thick. My guess is that the tenderizer could maybe handle up to 1/2' thick. My trial was a disaster with part of the steak going through the tenderizer up until it couldn't go any further because a good portion of it was just gumming up on the top. The first half of the steak was a total mess but I decided to try the second half just to make sure I started everything dead center. Same result. So then I went to clean the tenderizer. I pulled as much jammed steak out as I could but there was still a lot of meat stuck in the unit. The pieces of meat were tightly jammed in the tines so there was no way they would come out in the dishwasher. I ended up using a fork to clean the remaining meat out of the unit. The process took about 10 minutes. Good news is that the unit did make it through the dishwasher with no issues. My take away is that this unit will only handle cuts of meat up to about 6" wide and probably less than 1/2" thick. I don't know if there would be cleaning issues if operating within those parameters.

I’m always grilling outside and buying meat from the grocery store that is tenderized, however, it tends to add up with the price of meat.It was really simple to attach to the kitchen aid, I was able to clean the excess meat off the stainless steel with water. I did cut the meat a little thicker than what was suggested and that was my fault. I think it’s a great product and will continue to use it for my meat.

Love this. So much easier than pounding or poking. I ran each “steak” through several times in different directions. The only problem is that ,if your cut is too thin ,it will wrap around the blade. A quick shut off and digging will get your meat out. It only happened about 2-3 times out of a large back strap. Also, make sure that you use the plastic cover guard. I got bumped and could’ve lost a finger! (No harm done!)Speed 1-2 is perfect. Fried deer , tender to perfection and so quick and easy. We love it!

On the one hand it worked well. . . it was easy to attach and seemed to have plenty of power from the KitchenAid mixer. But even gripping the meat from the bottom as it began to feed through the blade rollers didn't completely prevent the problem of the meat beginning to wrap around the blades. I also tried a partially frozen (not hard frozen, but still with firmness) chicken breast and it really messed it up.A second issue for me was that the slot in which the meat is inserted isn't very wide, greatly limiting the size of the meat you can tenderize. And if you start with a size that fits and try to run it through again, the rapidly spreads out until it won't fit in the slot.I returned it.
