This was advertised as beginner friendly. As someone who has been crocheting on and off for a couple of years, I know how to crochet. I recently moved and haven’t been able to find any of my materials so I though I’d just buy a kit with everything included just so that I’d have a project to work on while I find my materials. I looked at the pattern and could barely understand it, it wasn’t readable. Its had photos of how it SHOULD look but not of HOW to get it to look like that. It’s a cute pattern but I just couldn’t understand the one in the kit so I went online and found the same bag pattern that I could actually understand. The yarn is not too bad but it splits quite a lot. The hook, in my opinion, is one size too small, I would have gone with a 3mm instead. The colors are okay. I would honestly spend my money on a different pattern or buy the material to follow a free pattern online. Value for money wise, it’s okay. You get what you see. I haven’t completed mine and honestly don’t think I’ll complete it. And while reading some of the other comments now I see why some people have mentioned not completing it and the main reason is the way the pattern is written out. Bad completeness rate.

This is such a cute kit but unless you are Intermediate or Advantage, but it is very hard to understand the instructions. I have crocheted often on for several years, but it was pretty difficult trying to understand the steps. Had to go on a YouTube video to follow instructions.

This is a terrible pattern. It's not written in any recognizable format for crochet in English. The yarn splits really easy. Thankfully I have a foundational knowledge of crochet and was able to wing a lot of the steps and produce something sorta like the picture. Save your 6 dollars and invest in watching u tube videos and better quality yarn.

This was a gift for my granddaughter, and it has all the necessary supplies. She is learning to crochet, and this is cute for a teen.
