Polypropylene plastic welding rods - Made-in-USA, many profiles avaialble
Polypropylene is used in many of the bumpers on import cars. The plastic is usually black, and sometimes gray. Polypropylene has a waxy feel to it and it smears and gets "hairy" when sanded at high speed. If you have determined that the plastic you are going to weld is polypropylene, this is the plastic welding rod you need. Use this plastic welding rod with either Polyvance's airless plastic welder, a hot air plastic welder, or a nitrogen plastic welder.

Probably my mistake but I thought this would fix an old 1991 dodge gas tank. It was a lower melting temperature which caused all kinds of problems getting the actually gash to seal. . Oddly enough some non polypropylene rods which came with a plastic welding kit turned out to be the right plastic.I had read that gas tanks were polypropylene so ordered this but like i said it didn't work. otherwise the rods were fine and i assume were what they say. I just misapplied them. And the vendor was great too. quick shipping etc. I didn't ask for my money back because it was my mistake. I will use the remaining rods for something else.
