Worked great to repair legs for an aluminum awning. Would use again.Make sure to clean the surfaces very well. A flux would be nice too if they recommend one to keep the joint clean.

I recently used these welding rods for a project, and they were fantastic. The rods melted smoothly and created strong, precise welds that held up exceptionally well. I was particularly impressed with how easy they were to use—just follow the instructions and ensure the surface is clean. The quality and durability of these rods are top-notch, offering great value for the price. They've saved me time and effort, and I'll definitely keep them on hand for future projects. Highly recommend for anyone looking for reliable and high-quality welding rods!

I used these aluminum welding rods for a fix-it job recently, and I'm seriously amazed. They worked really well, melting smoothly and sticking perfectly to the surface. They're super tough and reliable. What I liked most was how easy they were to use. Just follow the instructions, make sure everything's clean, and you're good to go. It was really straightforward! And for the price, you're getting great value. These rods saved me a bunch of time and effort, and they did a fantastic job.Honestly, I can't recommend these enough. If you need welding stuff that's top quality, easy to use, and gets the job done right, these are it. I'll definitely be keeping some handy for my next projects.

Follow directions clean well. I had to scrape off epoxy that didn't work. Then I fine sanded the metal ( 400 grit ) flushed with alcohol to clean off residue and applied welding rods per direction GREAT WELD !!!I found a helpful hint on the internet to insure the metal is at the right temp use a piece of wood that kinda resembles a door stop using the pointed end pass it across the work piece near the weld if it leaves a burn line your good to immeditlay go. For you first timers that's after you heated it with MAP Gas ( Map gas works so much better). Good Luck with your project but with these Aluminum Welding rod's Luck will have nothing to do with it !.

You can melt this all day long no problem, but you are never going to convince me and from what I have read you couldn't convince about 90% of those who have thrown their money as well. It will not hold to any material you can find, and I don't care what torch or fuel or the material you wanted to weld braze or anything even as simple as soldering, and I have had several shops confirm with my opinion that the stuff is going to serve you absolutely no purpose. I've even had a chance to get a few replies from people who have done reviews and they were even thinking it was actually a success and they were so quick to update their reviews and they said it's not been a single attempt for everything they purchased, like myself, and you don't want to be fooled by any positive comments on the reviews and I personally would love to know even one of those people, and you don't want to be wasting your time, you can waste your money by just touching the cash, but don't waste any time with some project you have waiting, get the real deal.

I have a hole worn in an aluminium Aircon pipe, which would have been expensive to replace. Pipe disconnected, seals removed, pipe cleaned with 100 grit wet or dry paper. Using a standard gas blowtorch, pipe heated and kept testing the heat until the welding rod material started to flow and fed the rod into the hole. Perfect flow and very similar to soldering. A nice neat job that was pleasing to see. Pipe refitted and Aircon system regased. Sorted.

I tried using propane and map gas and could not get the item’s hot enough to blend with these rods.I tried a couple thicknesses, but not what they advertise with.I have a 3 star, because they do work.As I said, I did get it to work , I used it on some runners on a aluminum truck ramp. The pieces were about a half inch thick round stock attaching to a 1/8 inch plate.I used acetylene and oxygen standard torch tip with a low adjustment for a long blue flame.Of course it does not flow as easy as soldier, it cools down pretty quickly in the mending process, once it bond’s good, I could not break or separated it by hand or stepping on it.Still in the learning process, at this point, I don’t think I would be able to get it over a 3.5 star, because it is not as easy to use as advertised. If you have brazing tips and patience it might be for you. Although then you might as well get aluminum brazing rods lol If you only have propane or map gas it is still questionable.I will not completely give up on it yet.

It didn't work for my application. I was attempting to repair a crack in an aluminum canoe seat, everything was clean and hot with no problem getting a good flow going. It looked good at first but after flexing the weld a few times the weld cracked. I don't know how limited the applications are for this product but is sure didn't work as advertised for my repair. I don't know if I would trust any important weld with this product.I'll be taking my canoe to a welding shop and see if they can fix my botched repair with this material still well attached.FYI: I had to use map gas for my application on a large surface area to get enough heat for the weld.
