Great, fantastic idea that doesn't work. Purchased a few of these, they constantly plug up and are difficult to remove. Saved myself the headache and threw them out.

Since this device sits on top of the existing drain opening, water in the sink does not drain completely. You have maybe a sixteenth inch of water residing all the time. I figure it's only a matter of time before problems arise like mold and gunk. Save your money and don't take quick shortcuts. I did and wasted my money. There is a reason sink manufacturers don't provide this solution with their sink installation kits. The cost to replace the existing sink drain is about the same as this product. It'll take a bit more time, but it'll be done right.

I like that it catches hair but it also catches little debris and gets clogged easy and slows the drain down

I like this drain. Yes, the water flows down slower than Iā€™d like, but it works well to catch hair.

Good idea but it catches too much (toothpaste spit) and thus requires frequent cleaning. Strainer needs wider holes. Water is slow to drain which can't be adjusted without unscrewing the top off. Cheaply made, no metal at all. I'm keeping it for now but I'll be looking for something better.

this was the perfect replacement for my broken drain stem. thirty second installation and fits and works tremendously for the money...cheaper than a plumber
