The vest is crafted from soft neoprene and EPE, which not only felt durable but also very comfortable against his skin. It’s clear that the materials used are of high quality, designed to help with buoyancy while ensuring that Doug would feel safe. The buoyancy of the vest provided just the right amount of support, making him feel more confident as he splashed around.The size was perfect for Doug (he’s around 30 pounds), and it fit him snugly without being too tight. I appreciated the adjustable crotch strap, which kept the vest secure and prevented it from shifting or coming off—something that made both Doug and me feel more at ease. The soft crotch strap was also a great safety feature, especially since he’s still learning to get comfortable with swimming. It added an extra layer of security, and I loved knowing it would stay on him.The cute cartoon pattern on the vest made it even more appealing to Doug, which helped get him excited about wearing it. It definitely added to the "fun" factor and made him more willing to try the water.We followed the care instructions, hand-washing it in cold water with mild detergent, and the vest still looks great after multiple uses. This swim vest is really nice. The colors are bold and vivid, and it has a nice little shark fin on the back. The retainer that goes around one leg is padded, and prevents the vest from riding up or potentially falling off. It seems to be sized just right.

This Pottwal float vest is both comfortable and safe for your child. Completely adjustable, and rated as a class B device. It has a double closure front with zipper and velcro security. This vest also has a suggested sizing chart on the inside to better gauge an aging childs applications. A maintenance book is also included to better care for the vest without damaging it. 5 star product by Pottwal, great price too...

Just heads up this is NOT USCG approved (meaning it hasn’t gone through the same safety testing as other life jackets) and even has a warning on the inside for US customers that it’s not a flotation device. I obviously didn’t read the description thoroughly and just assumed it was safe for lakes, pools, etc. My daughter wore this once to the lake, luckily we were with her the whole time because it was quick to see if we let go of her even at all she’d start to fully submerge. She’s completely in the size and weight requirements and it was worn properly, so it wasn’t a user error. I returned mine as it felt like a dangerous item to have.
